We are absolutely SPEECHLESS. First off, nothing is more refreshing than the option of an affordable wedding. The Brim offers extremely affordable, even FREE, wedding options. Due to a series of unfortunate COVID-19 related events, we had to postpone our large wedding. The Brim was willing to accommodate us and less than 50 guests (per CDC guidelines) on our original date (4/18) for a free, outdoor ceremony. Things changed quickly and the guideline of 50 decreased to 10, with Kansas City's mandatory 'stay at home' for the next 30 days starting in 48 hours. Kelsie called me and offered the option to bump up to Monday since the 'stay at home' would start Tuesday, ultimately meaning we couldn't do anything at all on our original date of 4/18. At this point we were over all of the stress and unknown and just ready to get married so we said "lets do it!!". Kelsie and her husband Aaron were so gracious in accommodating us even though the venue wouldn't technically be ready for a few more months. We didn't care - it actually was perfect. Kelsie went far out of her way to find us an officiant, make their grounds ready enough for our group of 10, and made sure I was as relaxed as possible. She called around to find courthouses that were still open and offering marriage licenses. Kelsie was my biggest crutch those 48 hours of planning a wedding and I could not have ever done it without her. She might say she played a small part in our day but I say she played the biggest part. I cannot thank Kelsie and Aaron enough for their selflessness and kindness in accommodating us and making our dreams come true no matter the circumstance. When you know the people who own and run a business, it makes it easy to love and support. When you have known them since middle school and watch God unfold a dream, it holds an even deeper level of meaning and importance. Kelsie and Aaron were young people we watched grow through adolescence, navigate college and then come together as a couple and start a family. When their journey toward The Brim began, it was a hope to have someone we know get married there. Our son and now daughter-in-law did us one better when they chose to get married this past August at The Brim. The Brim is all this and more. Personally, it is their love of the Lord and their understanding of God's love and His love of marriage that sets this place apart from all others. We loved getting married at The Brim and would recommend it to anyone! It's a beautiful 16-acre venue (with a vineyard!) created completely from faith, love, and hard work. My husband loved that it had a "rural" feel (he's a small-town Kansas boy), but that it was close to necessary amenities (nice hotels, airport, food, etc.) It was perfect for both us and our out-of-town guests, friends, and family. Not to mention the beautiful sunsets that seem to show off right at the "golden hour" while we were taking our newlywed pictures! The views are unobstructed and indescribable! #priceless Everyone was so impressed by The Brim, and we loved showing our loved ones this beautiful gem in Kansas City! The Brim stood out from other options because they truly care about the people and the meaning of marriage. Their theme is "Marriage Matters", and that resonated with us and aligned closely with our own values as a couple! The Brim invests in the lives of those in the community and that shows up in every interaction we had with Aaron and Kelsie. When you plan a wedding, there so many decisions, questions, and interactions, and each time I communicated with Kelsie, I knew we were in calm and capable hands. Such a relief! My husband and I were married at The Brim on 10/30/2021. Not only is it a BEAUTIFUL venue, but Kelsey and Aaron helped make our day absolutely perfect! Anytime I had questions or needed clarification, Kelsey was quick to respond and solution-oriented! During our pre-wedding meetings, Kelsey had great ideas that I had not thought of! The venue itself was stunning. Panoramic views of beautiful trees and a gorgeous chapel made this place exactly what we were looking for. Our guests loved being able to walk around the well-kept property. Also, we loved the open catering and alcohol options, making it even more affordable for us. Currently, The Brim has Portable bathrooms. I was a little nervous about this but they were SO CLEAN and spacious. I used it a few times throughout the night in my wedding dress with no issues at all. Plus, they had a portable sink with soap right outside! It was honestly cleaner than most public restrooms I have used. In addition to the value of this venue, Kelsey and Aaron offer marriage retreats with guest speakers. They truly believe that marriage matters and want to see every couple start their marriage happily and successfully. We are so happy we chose The Brim! read more

My husband and I got married at The Brim a few weeks ago and we had an amazing experience! We did a ceremony followed by a cake and toast reception; we used the lawn area in front of the chapel for our ceremony and the chapel for the cake reception. It was a very hot day and we had planned for the garage doors in the chapel to be open, however we ended up keeping them down and having the AC on due to the heat. It was so nice to have that as an option! Kelsie was great to work with - we booked the day-of coordination and that was such a great choice! She was always available by email and she answered all of our questions promptly. The chapel and the property are all so beautiful. When we were planning our wedding, we couldn't really narrow down our style/theme, so we joked that it was "simple, clean, and pretty" and The Brim fit that so perfectly! The pricing options are also really fair and a good value! Overall - we are so so happy we chose The Brim and we would highly recommend it as a venue for weddings and other events. read more

Where to even begin?! My husband and I could not have chose a better venue. Kelsie was so helpful through the entire process. She never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question, though I asked many. They made the experience feel very personalized to us and was very informative as to how everything would be and the process of our Cake and Toast Ceremony/Reception. On the day of the wedding, Kelsie and her assistant absolutely held me and everything together. They made sure everything ran so smooth. They dropped my stress level into nonexistence. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. It was so easy to make my dream come true. The chapel didn't even need decorations, I did it for my own preference, it's absolutely beautiful by itself. At the end we got to ring the chapel bell and I think that is just such a fun touch! Also, the landscape and area makes gorgeous pictures! I seriously recommend The Brim every chance I can. We recently had our vow renewal at The Brim and it was hands down one of the best experiences of our life. The property is so beautiful and the rolling hills are the perfect backdrop for photos. The sunset views are unmatched. The amazing chapel was so wonderful to host our closest friends and family. We loved that we could have the doors open and feel the breeze during the ceremony and reception. Kelsie is passionate and attentive and thought through every detail of the day. Kelsie & Aaron, the venue owners, were kind, helpful, and so so amazing. Kelsie worked with me to make sure my vision was executed and she did it perfectly!!! I did a full reception with coordination and Kelsie met with me via Zoom a couple times and they were super quick to answer emails throughout the entire process. The day before run through i felt like I could trust them with all the little details and they executed everything perfectly!!! They took care of us all day as well- refilled drinks, brought our dinner to us at our table, and helped us stay on track schedule wise. This venue is INCREDIBLE. Kelsie and Aaron helped me so much along the way and took so much stress off my shoulders. Everyone at my wedding was talking about how beautiful and intimate of a venue it was. I was able to spend money on other things I wouldn't have been able to if it cost the same as pretty much any other venue. Multiple options in one space- a new, beautiful chapel, an outdoor ceremony space, and a large tent.
