I think you're twice so far, just to get coffee, but will definitely come in for their brunch someday! The menu looks great, with a lot more variety than I expected. Each time I've come in I've gotten a hot coffee with sugar-free syrup, and I really appreciate how they have eight or nine flavors that come sugar-free! I usually order some type of hot latte with oat milk, and it taste amazing! Served at the perfect temperature, and only takes a few minutes to come out. Home town coffee place. The location is big enough to sit and enjoy yourself. Has seating outside also, but could be a little cleaner outside. A must stop in when visiting Columbus! Found this place on Yelp when in town for a baseball tournament. Will ALWAYS eat here when we are in town going forward. The Avocado Toast provides options for toast selection and eggs - it was big enough for 2 to share but we wanted it all to ourselves! SO GOOD! Like Cinnamon Rolls? This is your place! In addition to a good variety menu, huge coffee menu, smoothies, ice cream/shakes - need I go on? Free WiFi, electrical plugins, huge clean updated bathrooms. Win~win~win! Was challenging to get here with our trailer rig but...phone call to find it helped. I'm getting out usual drinks of Americano with my honey, and a spice chai. Really nice setting, seating situation here with foods and ice cream also. Nice ladies attending. Not sure what this new construction building houses but possibly, oh, is a church. Cool. This is absolutely the best breakfast in Columbus. The employees are exceptionally friendly, the coffee is good, the pastries are great. Prices for what you get are within reason. Lunch is also very good with many choices of salads, wraps, or sandwiches. Everything is fresh made in the kitchen. I have never had an issue with the food or service. Kitchen may be a little slow at times, but the food is worth the wait. read more

Cute little place. We stopped in while taking care of family business in Columbus, but were sad to find the kitchen had already closed for the day. Our Nebraska Mothers Association needed a place for our BOD lunch meeting. Columbus is a great location for our members coming from all over Nebraska. I wanted to support a locally owned business so I called a friend who lives in Columbus and she highly recommended The Broken Mug. We arrived at the Broken Mug and loved the many choices on the men. Our food came quickly and was enjoyed by all. The serving sizes were generous with wonderfully fresh ingredients. Stopped in for breakfast. Excellent ham and Gouda cheese omelet. Restaurant tucked back in the corner and Google maps got me close but had to doiiiio some hunting before I found it. Got lunch from here today, ordered the lunch Trio includes a choice of daily soup, salad and a piece of homemade bread. Beef & Vegetable soup was a little on the greasy side, mind me I had never had this type of soup and I understand beef is greasy. Had an OK flavor. Salad was greens with some tomatoes and red bell peppers cut on top as well, with Italian dressing of my choice. Good. Croutons were amazing, they seem homemade. Bread that was included was also very good especially with the soup. I'm not sure what type of bread it is but it reminded me somewhat of French bread. Ordered a smoothie and asked for a recommendation, I got the "Greens and added strawberry flavor" tasted quite minty, wasn't for me. Overall I did enjoy my lunch and will be back again to try something different next time. read more

We were recently in town for our son's basketball tournament and decided to grab coffee at The Broken Mug. I got a chai latte and my husband a dark roast, we also got a peppermint scone that paired well with our warm drinks. The two young ladies that were working were friendly and assertive. They made friendly small talk with us while making our drinks and told us about how the coffee shop came about. We left happier than when we came in and for that I think is price list!
