This was a surprise visit for us.. We didn't know that Memphis had a handful of metaphysical stores!!! This was one of our favorites all because we were greeted with warm welcomes and smiles. We bought many things to take home with us. Aside from the store, we met with Tanya for a Historical Haunt Tour... who went above and beyond and did a tour for us.... She brought the historical magick of Memphis just by being magickal herself and she definitely had an energy that was the exact same as ours.. This is the coolest little shop! I never would have noticed it if I hadn't been going to the Arcade Cafe. They have sooo many groovy items... I had a hard time getting out of there without spending a fortune. read more

This is my favorite metaphysical store in memphis. The vibe is so chill and relaxed. The person that is at the front with the newly green bags and congratulations to you and your partner on the education road you are on! I'll keep you updated on our mushroom. Everyone is so knowledgeable as well and does not judge anyone based on anything. They will even let you know if something is outside of their scope of knowledge or professional expertise. Could use better customer service. I asked for a specific tarot deck which the staff member confirmed was the deck in my hand. After purchasing the cards and getting home, I realized it was actually not the deck that I had asked for and they wouldn't let me return it. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The woman pictured was in the shop BOTH times I visited approximately two years apart. The first time I thought maybe she was having a bad day and thought I'd give the place a second chance only to hear her YELLING at and CHASTISING (repeatedly) an apologetic customer who had accidentally, unknowingly, knocked something causing it to tip over and hit the ground . A customer who had been very careful about touching anything in the shop. I might add...There are many "DO NOT TOUCH" signs throughout. Sadly, I know this customer to be a local, if this is how you treat your locals, your client base, how do you treat our tourists???? . I was disgusted and left without buying a thing. It is all crap anyway so why she felt the need to tell is beyond me!!! Go to EBBO. They embrace an appreciate their customer!! read more

I love this quirky shop. Quality selection of Tarot cards. Great candles, incense, crystals. I enjoyed my 30 minute reading although I thought the reader could be a bit more confident in her craft. It also would be better to be a bit more private and the lighting changed to set the tone better. Folks were very friendly. They offer some interesting classes too which I hope to take advantage of soon. So glad to know about this store! read more

I visited The Broom Closet on vacation with my family and loved it. The people behind the counter were very attentive and friendly, but also gave me plenty of space to explore on my own. The shop had anything you could need readily available, and a wide variety of items in each category. Their book section had many different subjects and was chaotically organized. There were only a few of each book so picking out one felt very special and meaningful. I highly recommend this shop to anyone interested in anything magickal! read more

Before today, I would give the broom closet 5 stars. I drove to the location midday and to my surprise the door was locked. I called and I watched the woman in the shop walk to the phone and let it ring. She then looked me dead in the face and carried on while I stood outside in 100 degree weather waiting to be acknowledged. I understand if a class, reading, etc was in progress but communication is key. There is no need to be rude to a customer. I will not be revisiting this location, nor do I recommend it. I will continue to utilize Ebbo on Madison for my needs. read more

I love this shop for so many reasons . Let's start with the couple that own it Emily and Steven., Steven tries to make sure everyone that enters the doors has a warm shopping experience. He has a wonderful way of making you feel welcome. Emily has knowledge of all products in their store, how to use it and if you need something that she doesn't have she will see if she can order it. Her energy is protective but she's cool ( she just doesn't show it ) She is VERY helpful. So, just ask.She also does readings, by appointments. I am not sure if that service is still available due to COVID. The store is on MAIN , so you may have to park on the back/ side of the store. No worries, its not far.. The selection of inventory is AMAZING. I love the fact they use some LOCAL TALENTED vendors for candles and these funky, radical , HANDMADE leather pouches crystal bags. They have everything from crystals , candles, incense, that smell sooo good.. books, ,jewlery( (all types) singing bowls, all kinds of statues, orisha statues, kemet statues, flordia water, holy water and healing soaps, to cute cleansing kits for your car, or dwelling, with the small shell, palo Santo stick and feather. They have tapestry, and NICE colorful cloth bags that can be used as a purse or a book bag AND SOO MUCH MORE!!!!!!!!!!! Its my FAVORITE place to shop for my spiritual supplies. GO SEE FOR YOURSELF!!! A cute little store with Tarot cards, incense, mystical chatchkas including wands and books. My reason for visit was a Tarot reading, $25 for 30 mins and $40 for an hour. I took the hour and listened silently as my guide gave me an accurate though not profound reading on my self past and present. It was a soothing reading and I had no deep issues to resolve. read more
