I hired The Brothers That Just Do Gutters in Fall 2025 to replace my existing gutters with seamless 6" gutters. The estimator was professional, took measurements, and provided what I felt was a fair quote. The installation crew completed the work using roof straps rather than attaching the gutters to the fascia board. This immediately raised concerns because my previous gutter system was secured to the fascia and tied into the rafters. When I contacted the company, I was told roof straps were used because I supposedly did not have a fascia board. Less than three months later, during the winter, approximately half of the front gutter detached from my house and snapped in half. Initially, I was told this was an "act of God." However, after the company inspected the installation, they discovered the roof strap spacing was significantly wider than New York recommendations, roughly 40 inches apart when spacing should have been approximately 18-24 inches. At that point, they replaced the damaged front gutter, added additional straps, inspected the rear gutters, and assured me everything else was fine. Unfortunately, a few months later I noticed one of the rear roof straps had completely detached, and the strap spacing in the back did not match the corrections made to the front. Around the same time, I contacted another local gutter company with nearly 50 years of experience for an estimate on gutter guards. During their inspection, they questioned why roof straps had been used at all because my home does, in fact, have a fascia board available for attachment. My biggest disappointment was not the initial failure itself, but the inconsistent explanations and quality concerns that followed. After spending thousands of dollars on a new gutter system, I expected an installation that would provide long-term reliability and peace of mind. Based on my experience, I would recommend homeowners thoroughly research their options, ask detailed questions about installation methods, and obtain multiple opinions before moving forward with a gutter replacement project. read more

Called them to fix my gutters. They insisted on replacing the copper gutters ($$$), and when they finished, there was a 1" gap between 2 sections, and several other places that leaked when it rained. They claimed to do a "water test" with a hose, but that will not fill a gutter the way a rainstorm on a roof will! Eventually they stopped returning my calls. read more

This company came out and made a mess of everything. They installed white roof straps on top of my dark shingles instead of beneath the shingles, incorrectly installed two out of the three downspouts, and didn't properly anchor ANY of the downspouts. The gutter "upgrade" was actually a downgrade and water is being dumped closer to my house than it had been before. TBD whether this company will make it right but I'm thoroughly and profoundly unimpressed with their care and attention to detail. As it stands right now my house was better off with the original gutters. I do not recommend this company. I had to go outside this morning and do some temporary fixes of my own to prevent water from draining next to my foundation. Update: The company did come back out to "fix" some of the issues, but other issues remain. One such issue is a leaking gutter which is dripping down onto my porch and has created an ice hazard. This company had the nerve to call me and ask if I'd change my review. The only thing I would change is an even lower score which is unfortunately not possible. read more

I am thrilled with the work this company did installing new gutters on my house and fixing up some older gutters and adding guards. They explained in detail all the work to be done, providing a detailed diagram and estimate during the consultation, answering all my questions and concerns. They arrived when they promised and the workers were professional and courteous and worked all day and cleaned up the area perfectly before they left. It was a great experience from start to finish . A total dud so far. Took weeks to get a work date appt. They had a 3 hour window and they missed it. When they finally showed up they were late. They came with an incomplete work order and DID NOT HAVE THE TOOLS WITH THEM TO DO THE JOB, SO THEY CANCELLED ON THE SPOT. This was AFTER we re-scheduled our landscaper contractor because it conflicted with the "confirmed" date we finally received from these jerks The reason for the work order being "incomplete" is that when the admittedly charming company representative first came to see what we needed he made a sloppy guess resulting in a total misdiagnosis that had nothing to do with the actual problem. Then we rescheduled. This time they simply did not show up at all. They didn't bother to call to let us know, and when WE called, they were vague, and talked about 'the app' giving them problems. They don't seem like a real company at all, they seem like a few dispatchers with cell phones who hook you up with some roving group of roof/gutter workers who may or may not want work. A very friendly convincing representative and really really bad service. They hound you with fake-friendly emails and texts messages containing endless and unnecessary REMINDERS of your upcoming 'CONFIRMED' appointment. DON'T HIRE THEM. read more

I'm just speechless at the horrible gutter installation. Every problem under the sun with this company's gutter installations; from leaks, to rain over shooting the gutters, water flow onto house foundation, to multiple repair visits with quick fixes that lead to a need for other repair visits. With each ounce of rain, more gutter problems become present. We have been waiting months to get repairs done from their workers installation mistakes. Finally when the crew comes, they did not bring the necessary material to make the repairs, only to then schedule another repair visit. It has been a very unpleasant experience. We still have leaks that need to be repaired and its been over 4 months since they installed the gutters. read more

I had gutters installed last year from this company. UnFortunately they didn't hold up from the storm early February in the Hudson Valley NY. All the gutters we affected. They were bent up pretty bad, and Dangling from the small bracket which held them up. I'll give them credit for the swift salesman who was show up the very next day. Was quick to give an estimate and quick to follow up with collecting a deposit. Then he disappeared with the install date info. When I called to inquire about replacement, they said they were not under warranty for weather related damage. Very poorly installed. I waisted 4K for one years use. read more

I have used them for six years and am now done with them. I am supposed to have regular gutter cleanings but they only show up half the time they say they will so my gutters have become clogged. They told me the first time that they had to fire an employee because they just forgot to schedule people so I gave them another chance. Water now cascades down the side of my house, I have had to twice pay for someone to remove my downspouts and unclog them. I'm not sure how a business model based on unreliability survives. read more

I have had new gutters for about three years. Water had been coming over my previous gutters and they were causing water issues. I was told by The Brothers That Just Do Gutters (TBTJDG) that new gutters would solve this problem. I opted for the 6" commercial gutters rather than standard 5" gutters to guarantee I would not have a problem. Some support wood they worked into the estimate was not needed; went I attempted to pay after completion, I could not as the office needed to adjust the bill. The office did not adjust the bill and left me repeated messages stating I needed to pay my bill. I had to call and spend a bit of time on the phone to get the bill adjusted as they wanted me to pay for materials that were not installed. Three years later: I still have water coming over my new gutters which is causing erosion issues. When I called, we surmised that they may be clogged so they sent someone over to give me an estimate on gutter cleaning ($300) and he talked to me about really expensive gutters guards. He did not assess my gutters. I had a contractor (who builds houses) asses my gutters and the contractor stated that they appeared to be installed too low on the front of my house. I hired another business to clean my gutters and power wash my house. They confirmed that the front gutter appeared to be installed too low. TBTJDG came out again and stated that the front gutter appeared to be installed too low and they would have a crew come out to adjust the front gutter. The crew came out this Saturday led by Tyler. He did a water test and stated that I had a roofing problem (even though he confirmed my roof was in good condition) and I need to hire a roofer as the water is splashing out of the gutters. I stated that this was never mentioned at any time and I was guaranteed at the time of installation that my roof was fine and I would not have any issues with water. Tyler stated that his supervisor would call me on Monday; that call never came. I called again yesterday and I was guaranteed a call back. That call never came. I would avoid this company unless you like getting the running around and you appreciate broken promises. read more

BEWARE OF THE BROTHERS THAT JUST DO GUTTERS This is their quality of work for EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS. They were scheduled to start work on my house on Monday 8/27 and showed up with the wrong material even though I confirmed with them the work to be done twice the week before. They rescheduled me for Friday 9/2. The crew of six that showed up were horrible. Completely unprofessional. Most of them just sat around on their phones doing nothing and playing music. They left my house abruptly that Friday at 3:30 pm without saying anything. They left the property a mess. Metal trimmings all over the lawn and in the garden, screws all over my driveway and deck. They dumped the debris from the old gutter right on the roof. The gutters they hung were all dented and scratched. They also did not punch holes in many of the gutters they hung and the ones with holes did not connect to any downspouts. They also cracked my in-ground drain and left the broken pieces in the garden. I have to dig up my driveway to replace this now. I figured they would be back the next morning Saturday 9/3, but nobody showed up and nobody called. I began calling the representatives from the company to make them aware of my situation and the pending storm that was coming on Sunday 9/4. Nobody from the office responded. The storm came and the water poured over my gutters and pooled around my foundation. I had to climb on my roof in the middle of the storm and punch a hole in a gutter so it did not rip the facia board off the house and crash down on to my first story. Nobody from the company responded Sunday or Monday even though the representative relayed to me that he sent out numerous emails to managers with no response. When I woke up Tuesday 9/6 my foyer window was leaking water destroying my interior windowsill and wall. The office was back open on Tuesday 9/6 and I spoke to a representative again who related to me that they don't send crews out in to the rain. Not one manager reached out to me all day Tuesday even though they received numerous emails about my ongoing situation. I called the office at approximately 3pm and told them to come clean up all their trash and get their leftover product off my property. Only then were they apologetic and wanted to make it "right". They finally sent out a field supervisor Wednesday 9/7 after five days of dealing with this mess. He assured me they would make it right and that my account would be receiving a credit and the work would be done right. The two workers cleaned up everything that day and actually did quality work and were more apologetic to me than anyone from the front office or manager. It's been over two months now of back and forth and getting a run around for this account credit. To this day, I have only received payment for my damaged foyer window and wall. I have not received an account credit and every time I speak to the field supervisor he tells me he's waiting for a response from his manager. It's a big joke to them. I have wasted countless hours, including having to miss work, to deal with this mess. I would not recommend using this company. They told me they were aware that the crew they sent to my house did terrible work but continued to use them because they can't find workers. They only care about their bottom dollar rather than their quality of work. read more

We decided to go with Brothers for gutter cleaning + install of gutter guards in our new home. We previously used them in our old house for cleaning and thought they were great but have encountered several issues this time. We were originally scheduled to have 2x crews come out on a Monday. Received a call on Friday that we were getting pushed to Wednesday 2-5pm. Wednesday came and went and no one showed up. At 5pm we called to see what the deal was. Everyone had left the office for the day and our sales person couldn't figure out why the crew was a no show. He finally got in contact with the crew who said they just got on site (which was false because we were home at the time). The following day, the office and they said that we were pushed from Wednesday because the crew didn't have a big enough ladder which was never communicated to us. We even called the office Wednesday to confirm they were coming. On Thursday. 1x crew (instead of 2x) came and started working on the project but it started to rain so they had to stop halfway through. The crew told us they would be back Friday or Saturday to complete. No one came and no one called us Friday or Saturday. We called the office again on Monday and were told we were now scheduled to be completed the following Monday (2 weeks after our initially scheduled day!). We expressed our frustration given the lack of communication and delays and the office was able to provide us with a small discount on the service. Monday comes for the completion of the service and we were informed by the crew that they could not access a portion of the gutters that are now covered by an awning that was put up during this 2 week delay. We were never informed that there would be any issue accessing that portion of the gutters if the awning were to get installed. We already paid to put the awning up, now Brothers is saying we need to incur the $500+ cost to take down and put the awning back up if we want our project completed. If the project were to be completed on time this would not have been an issue. In addition if we were informed that the awning would be a concern, we could have done something to ensure the awning did not get installed during Brothers' reschedules and delays. The lack of communication and the consistent delays in our project has just been completely unacceptable when we are paying $3000+ for a project. read more

We found this company by chance of my next door neighbor! They had hired them and just happened to not be home on installation day. The 2 installers just needed access to the backyard and power to cut the gutters. Our complex are townhomes and the only access to the backyard is through the house. My husband approached them to see what was happening. So we let them in our home to get next door. They were very very appreciative. My husband asked if they could take a look at our gutters while up there cause it was broken and water flow as not good. They did and said they would reach out to the field manager to get us a quote. The quote was excepted and 40 mins later we had a new gutter system! Doug and Kyle are professional, respectful, knowledgeable and well organized. The new gutter looks great. The price was well within our budget..I mean well within! Highly recommend. read more

I have never paid such a premium for such unprofessional communication. We got a quote from the brothers who just do gutters in July of 2020, but were put off by the high cost ($1600 w/out guards, $3100 with). We received other quotes for much less (ca. $900, w/out guards), but were offered a flexible timing discount from brothers/gutters in January and decided to go with the premium price because the package included gutter guards (ca. $2500). I was led to believe the higher price was on account of premium materials, which I assumed would be accompanied by premium professionalism. The contract stipulated they would complete the work before April 30th or else they would refund the cost of the contract at a rate of 3% per day of delay. Come late April, three months after signing the contract, I had heard nothing. I called their offices and was told someone would get back to me. No one ever did. I waited a week and called back, and again I was told someone would get back to me by the end of the day. No one ever did. On May 14th I sent a polite email asking for an update. I heard nothing. On May 15th I sent an email including the contract and my receipt for the down payment, demanding some sort of response. Finally on May 20th I received an appointment notice for May 25th, saying the crew would arrive between 1:30-4:30. The crew arrived at 4 and began work. They were unable to finish the job because they said a critical piece of equipment had failed, and they left part of our old gutters dangling off the roof over my next door neighbor's property. My neighbor is a contractor, and threatened to sue if the gutter fell off and damaged any of his equipment. I gave them the following morning to get back to us, but having received NO indication from the crew or offices of brothers/gutters for when they planned to return to finish their work, I called their offices to threaten legal action--I was shuttled to voicemail. I finally received a notice that the work was going to be rescheduled for two days later, on May 28th (we were out of town). When the crew finally arrived, they said they'd let us know when they had finished their work, presumably to confirm final payment. They never did. By this point, according to our original agreement, and the 3% per day refund for delayed service, we should have received a $1836 reduction in the total cost, meaning we ought to have received a ~$700 refund. Instead, on June 1st we received a notification from our credit card company indicating the remaining balance of $1275 had been deducted, still without any confirmation or communication from the brothers/gutters offices. I am giving them two stars instead of one because someone in their offices finally contacted me today to apologize after I sent an email threatening to dispute the charge with our credit card company. He offered a 50% refund on our final payment, citing the cost of materials and labor as why they could not give us a full refund on the second payment. The work was clean--we have yet to see how it holds up to weather, and what their warranty service is like--but I cannot recommend this company after such abysmal customer service. read more

Sorry man but this has to be written. After they come to install my gutters they were very unprepared and didn't have their extension cord with them, which is no big deal I can help with that, then after 20 min preceded to tell me they "didn't have the gutters with them". (The second time they came I saw them run my gutters out from a machine.) It was raining that day so they should have just told me the truth. It was too dangerous to do the job due to the weather conditions. I would have had NO issue with that at all. Then ask me if later in the week works. No it doesn't...that day you were there works you know, the day you should have been prepared. On top of that they cleaned some of the gutter put left it on my deck and my yard. I had to clean it up. Finally when they did come and do it again several weeks later, and several unreturned phone calls later. They didn't clean the back gutters and charged me for it anyway. They were willing to help correct some of the problems but no thanks you can please stay away from my property. My advice go somewhere else even if you pay a little more. This place plays screw around games. Update: They have tried to contact me several times to correct the situation but not gonna happen. You were given three chances. Coming here twice and multiple missed/unreturned phone calls. Now you want to come back out again when it is convenient for you. Please stop. You screwed up bad and lost a customer. Oh, Man. Get somebody else. These people are a disaster. They pulled off half our gutter and left us without a gutter during a several days of heavy rain storms this summer. My husband had to go in torrential rains and bail out water day and night as the buckets, trash cans and bins filled to the top with water as it poured off the roof. Trying to get us back on the schedule to complete the work was a seemingly impossible job for Ari, who conveyed by her attitude she could care less about our situation. After multiple rescheduling and two days of installation, the gutters leaked at the seams at the first sight of rain. Also, there must have been broken glass in our old gutters that was just dumped on our back patio and left there. Our dog cut up his paws because no one even told us about the glass despite they fact that they should have cleaned it up. Our patio is filthy now and covered in old shingles and glass. This company runs like one should . You call they return call, set an appt. for a estimate. One good thing is they don't want to jam a gutter system down your throat. They will clean the existing ones without looking at them. Its your call! They gave me a price including leave screens. It was the price I was thinking it would be. They came on a Fri. and made a Tues. window appt. for me, then received another call that they could make it out that Sat. I believe they will stand behind their product. The 2 young men that come out were good guys and cleaned up after themselves. I had called via the internet other local gutter companies and none of them called me back! After calling to have my gutters cleaned out, I was given an appointment almost a month away. Two men arrived, only to give an estimate. He said he would get back promptly, though. Four days later, I called them again about the cleaning. I was told I was sent an estimate via email for a costly gutter cover, which I had mentioned just as a passing thought. What a disaster! The work started out great, unfortunately what was supposed to take 1 day took a month of missed appointments and no shows. And when they don't show up, they don't bother to call either. The work and product is good but it's a battle to get it done. We are having trouble with one gutter and we called and they scheduled 2 appointments and still haven't showed up or bothered to call and that was October 23.... they removed our heat tape from the roof to install the gutters and didn't put it back even though they promised they would. Not only did they not put it back they took all the clips with them! Unfortunately I can not recommend this company. read more

We were contacted a week in advance of the expected start date,weather dependent. I was impressed by the service provided by this company. The salesperson who came was knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to solve a longstanding problem that others were unable to correct. They provided information on options but did not apply high pressure sales tactics. They followed up multiple times to check on construction progress that was hampering completion of their contract, which was already paid in full. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional. The product was good, the installation team was great, but I was ignorant as to how much this stuff costs. I'm actually embarrassed by what I paid for what amounted to 3 1/2 corrugated aluminum downspouts to be installed. Knowing better now I can say these guys are good at what they do, but very expensive, shop around before jumping the gun like I did. UPDATE - Now that I've gotten to the roof of my house I can say without a doubt the gutters were not cleaned. Right after they were done I looked out a window and saw quite a bit of sand and roofing material in the third floor gutters, but water was able to flow so I let it go. I have a turret with gutter surrounds and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a decade or more once I got the ladder up there. Having been charged for a $200 gutter cleaning that clearly didn't happen doesn't sit well with me. I can't recommend this company, and I hate giving poor reviews. read more
