Out of the blue one afternoon we noticed a few carpenter ants and really thought nothing of it. Then we noticed a few more, and a few more.....so we called "The Bug Man" after reading a few reviews. Called on Friday around 11ish or so.....they arrived that same afternoon around 2pm!! I really wish we could remember their names of the 2 guys that showed up, but they explained everything in detail, gave us what they thought would be a good treatment plan...no pressure at all! We decided to take their advice and move forward with their services! He told us that "they can't wave a magic wand and make them all disappear after one treatment (which we fully understood)! Well let me tell you, after spraying all baseboards (both upstairs and in the basement), the garage, all window corners, around the perimeter of the the house (to include getting rid of cobwebs, 3 bees nest, and mud dauber mounts) we haven't seen an ant since!! The Bug Man, is the MAN!! I am renovating a home in the mountains and discovered ants with wings! I was referred to The Bug Man from my insurance agent as I am new to the area. I called him and to my surprise he actually answered the phone, said he could be there within the hour and he was! Upon a thorough inspection, he explained my situation and quoted me a very reasonable fee, and that quoted fee was the actual price, no hidden surprises. We had The Bug Man come out and treat our home for carpenter ants. He did a through job and will be back for a second treatment in a few weeks. He was helpful and professional making sure we understood the problem and how to deal with it. A week after his visit we discovered a Timber Rattlesnake on our side porch. We thought of The Bug Man, and, I called (it was a Sunday), he came out in twenty minutes and captured the snake (he released it later higher on the mountain). We had an urgent need for an exterminator due to our log home being invaded by carpenter ants. First call, the Bug Man answered and offered to come early the next morning. He showed up promptly at 7:30 to inspect the house and went on to spray everywhere and offered a plan on how to combat various pests throughout the year. Rarely does someone come right away! We had some kind of bee or wasp nesting inside of our exterior wall - we could see them flying out of a whole in the caulking and hear buzzing and other sounds inside the wall. We called The Bug Man, and he came out to the house within several hours to assess the problem. He said that our own spraying would possibly be effective, but he applied some of his "heavy duty" spray as well, all for no charge (as part of the free assessment).
