Server Angel was very polite and quick with refills and kept checking on us,will have to stop in again.my daughter loved the tenders.

I basically wanted eggs hashbrowns , ham and toast. That wasn't available so I ordered the big meal to get what I wanted. Starting with the eggs, I ordered basted and stated that I wanted runny yolks. Well, the yolks were sorta runny. The eggs were small'ish, maybe medium. The hashbrowns were the rehydrated sort and not very good either. The bacon was limp and tasted of heavy liquid smoke, the sausage links were tiny and overdone/dry and the thin little piece of ham always dry and tough. The toast was kind of buttered on one piece but not the other and only one piece was slice diagonally. The other was not sliced through. The pancakes were cool when I received them. Even the butter on top didn't melt. Plus they were tough. I remembered why I seldom go to a Denny's when I began eating the food. So 4+ for service and 1 for the quality of food. I won't be going back. The only reason I went there was because my usual small family owned restaurant was shut down because they had a water leak and were closed for a few days. Lesson learned. Plus my meal with OJ was nearly $19! Usually my meal with OJ is about $12 and much better quality.

So, once I arrived I decided to try it out rather than backtrack to my intended destination. Upon entry I was greeted by three or four employees and seated immediately. The waitress brought me ice water and I also ordered coffee, which was very good. I looked over the menu and chose my favorite breakfast when in the Valley; Huevos a la Mexicana. The breakfast plate also comes with fried potatoes, refried beans and either toast or choice of tortillas. I always choose corn tortillas and these are very good, appearing to be home made vs typical store bought. They are thicker and have a more pronounced corn flavor. When my breakfast arrived I was surprised at the portion size, particularly the eggs. It was indeed, a large portion. It were filled with lots of diced onion, jalapeños and tomato and all appeared to be grilled prior to being added to the scrambled eggs. I also asked for salsa verde and this definitely did not disappoint. It was creamy and very spicy. Not thin and vinegary. It's the salsa verde that takes this dish over the top. The fried potatoes were the typical fare, cubed and fried. Maybe a bit larger dice than usual, but still cooked through and a bit crunchy. The refried beans were better than most places and had more flavor. I really enjoyed them. As stated earlier, the tortillas were good with a bit of chew to them, not thin and falling apart. And the coffee was really good for a restaurant that doesn't specialize in coffee. Rich, robust but not burned tasting. My cup never ran dry as the waiters/waitresses were always around, ready to top it off. The price was reasonable too. Not as cheap as one place I go to frequently but not as high as most small cafe/restaurants locally. I have returned three times in the weeks following my first visit. I can see this becoming my new favorite breakfast joint here in the RGV. Drop in and give them a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
