Spotted this from the road and had to pop in to see what a store with such a fun name had going on. This is a fun little local store with all sorts of rustic themed decor, furniture, and clothing inside. They have an almost overwhelming amount of merchandise to choose from and I was surprised they had a ton of Christmas stuff out with just a tiny corner of fall stuff considering it was the beginning of September. It looks like a lot of stuff is made on site as well which is really cool. Fun spot to have a look at some great handmade items at a local business with friendly folks. Be aware that local and handmade comes with the appropriate pricing so this is not a cheap spot to shop, but it's worth it. read more

They sell top notch merchandise for your cabin or mountain home. We have bought many things from small bear carvings to large bear carvings. We've bought bedspreads, towels, and kitchen, decorations. We love everything. read more

Drove all the way up here from Payson because I love this shop. I love the set up inside and the ambience. I went to pay and asked if I could use the restroom. I was told no. It seems they don't have a restroom for paying customers. I left and just can't tell you how it made me feel, it just doesn't seem right. I won't be returning after coming her for the last 20 yrs. This place is TOO CUTE!!! I spent more money than I should have here - lol - but I couldn't help myself. For a quaint little shop like this, the prices were decent. I found blankets, pillows, and adorable Knick-knacks for my camping trailer. If you're in the area, or just passing through, this is someplace you don't want to miss. read more

Fun local vibe type store to visit. LOTS of bear type stuff and very unique wooden hand carved furniture and items. I found it to be a bit overpriced with some of the stuff having 'made in China' stickers, but a great spot to get a nice souvenir/memento if you are just visiting the area. Side note: I was a little surprised given the close quarters inside the store that they were not requiring masks despite there being no AZ mandate (I am from Tucson) but I found most businesses in this area embracing the no masking, social distancing thing. Despite still being in a pandemic, it appears this area of AZ is over it. So if that is an issue for you, just be aware. read more

This is just such a FUN store! The staff was super friendly and they were having an amazing sale on the entire store! No matter how many times we went up to them to inquire on the price of something-they remained patient and friendly. They have lots of great gift ideas! The pricing was reasonable on just about everything. The craftsmanship on their items was beautiful! The people I was with took their time browsing, which was just fine with me because I fell in love with one of the rockers in the front of the store, I was content just sitting there, rocking, enjoying the outdoors! We were shopping in The Burly Bear and we couldn't find what we wanted right away. But then the owner, Trent Penrod, came up to us and offered to customize a wooden welcome sign for the outdoor entrance to our new home. We explained to Trent the exact shape and size of the product and the very next day we came back and he had it completely finished and it was beautiful. This man is a true artist and we appreciate everything that he did. What we bought was perfect for what we wanted! A very fair price, too! read more

Too bad the original store burned down due to arson last December. The much smaller satellite store they are selling out of until the original is rebuilt doesn't have much room for items, but you can still order off their website, it would help them out a lot. The owner, Trent, does awesome chainsaw art, too! 5 stars given for the original store, they should be back in there this winter! read more

Great shop, everyone in town raves about them. Even other gift shops. We liked the fact that it had that warm and comfortable vibe, the employees were enjoying their work, and they were excited to let you know about their sale. I guess they have them often. 4 stars for the decorations and cabin stuff. Would be 5 stars if they remained in their original location as we really liked the theme rooms of the original building. The new building that was burned down and is being rebuilt really doesn't have the same charm. No real deals on stuff so we don't typically purchase much. read more
