Our server Penny was unable to fill us in on the TV show Longmire based in Buffalo, but she did a great job of guiding us to fantastic food. I had the Breakfasts Burrito, smothered in a savory sausage gravy and filled with ham, hash browns, and veggies. WOW. My companion had an Egg sandwich with sausage on the fluffiest and most magnificent biscuit we have ever eaten! The coffee was hot and fresh and the vibe was 1920's frontier. The restaurant was well maintained and we loved it. A strong "A" from me.

We went to one of our favorite restaurants in Buffalo for breakfast this morning. A little disappointing. The service lady a lot to be desired. When we arrived, we were seated fairly quickly and found a another couple kind of seated in a corner that had been waiting for probably 10 minutes and had not received a waitress. I'll bring them drinks or taking their order yet. We waited about 10 minutes and finally got up and got our own menus said something to one of the waitresses that we were waiting and had not been addressed yet. When she came over, we told her that the other couple had been waiting probably 10 or 15 minutes longer than us, and that they should have put them first, and they did so. It was frustrating when another patrons were seated after us and helped prior to us in the couple sitting in the corner. Once our order was taken, though the food came quickly and did not disappoint as in the past, the food was excellent tasting and great presentation. The ambience is old style restaurant with a service counter. If you so desire and you can find a seat. I only gave them for this time versus a five last year Because of the bad service. When we come again for Longmire days, we will give them another try and we'll probably come back one more time before we leave in the next few days. I will recommend them that if you're in the area and you want breakfast or lunch, give them a try, but they only serve breakfast during breakfast hours and lunch during lunch hours I had the ribeye and eggs with hashbrowns and toast. My wife had the omelette with cheese, bacon and tomato with hashbrowns and a muffin or biscuit. She had orange juice I had coffee and our bill came to less than $40. Pretty good deal compared to where we're from in California. Again if you're in the area, give them a try may have been that they were just really busy and they're not used to the amount of business they had.

Just passing through on a road trip - wary because of past review but this place exceeded expectations. The server is so nice and the food is good. The meal was satisfying. It wasn't gourmet, but it was well-prepared and served its purpose for a casual bite in a small town. I would definitely expect a wait, drink some coffee and read a book or chat with a fri. The place is very small and there's only one server and one cook. Aside from that, I like the atmosphere V vintage. Not too loud or overcrowded

Arrived at 1:00 on a Wednesday and we were the only customers there. Our server was kind and attentive. The location is the absolute bests part! Right beside the river in the historic Occidental Hotel. The food was good we tried a little bit of everything on the lunch menu. We will definitely be back. I see a lot of reviews complaining of the time it takes to get the food but we were forewarned that the chicken pot pie would take some time and we had no problem waiting. Fresh made to order food takes time!

    Chicken salad

Good chicken salad, was not expecting to find fresh greens in the salad considering it was February.

Great place, would recommend, food is great the pancakes are very good and the hash browns are cooked to perfection. For lunch, I got the ribs and the hot wings, they are both very good. They serve Pepsi products and their coffee is very delectable. The service was very great and as soon as I had a seat there was my waitress with my menus and a smile on her face! Throughout the time I was there, both waitresses were extremely busy but they still managed to check in on me and other tables . The view of the creek and the the mural were phenomenal. I would 100% recommend this for your next meal in the great Buffalo Wyoming.

    Grilled chicken salad

The wait for food was at least 40 minutes and that was for a grilled chicken salad and 2 sandwiches. The waiter was kind and tried to get our order but struggled with simple questions like do you have Coke or Pepsi products. He smiled and nodded yes. I asked if the baked Mac and cheese had anything added to it like bread crumbs and again smiled and nodded then said cheese, milk noodle. The food wasn't bad just mediocre. They trimmed the fatty pieces from my grilled chicken but left it mixed in the salad. Overpriced as well.

Wow, The Busy Bee blew me away. I didn't have high expectations after seeing some of the reviews, but the half of a turkey sandwich with the cheeseburger soup was great!! The girls waitressing were simply the best, they made a very welcoming environment and were extremely attentive. The vanity was gorgeous, the stained glass gave it a beautiful vintage look. The natural lighting from the open windows was breathtaking. I loved it so much, and would come back again in the future!

This place is seriously awful. We walked in at 10 am, hoping to eat and get on the road. We never got menus, we had to go and get one ourselves. We got asked what we want to drink and eat 25 minutes into sitting there, nobody had even said anything to us. It's appalling there is no communication and the people working here seem like they never have worked here before. Finally an hour later we receive our food. After 4 other people who came in after us got food and drinks, we finally got fed. The food was pretty ok. I expected worse. Y'all need to seriously learn how to work a restaurant, cause winging it like you are just ain't it. Two gals were in here sitting for an hour and they NEVER got the food, the older lady came out and said that the waitress thought they left???? what?? Ok she brought me a mug now. Too bad it's dirty....

a coffee cup with a bee on it

Breakfast was very good. Fresh eggs and tasty pancakes. My friend enjoyed his ba on and hash browns. Local clientele seemed happy, we were as well. Friendly staff.

Coffee bar and big old register!

Quick service and homemade biscuits. Sausage patties and breakfast potatoes- yum! Friendly atmosphere with all the locals who call the staff by name...

Meh. It's cute but the food isn't stellar, my glass came with lipstick on the rim.

To the point he had to ask the kitchen if he could put bacon on a cheeseburger. He lyrically messed up everything. ( small mistakes and some bigger ones)This place price wise is pretty expensive like $$$. So service wise I would give this place a one star. The server did fix all of his mistakes.Plus he was very apologetic. Flavor of everything was the next thing. Stale rolls on my sandwich. The other sandwich When it came out right was good. but not worth the price. I hate to be hard on places. But this I can easily say I do not recommend. On service and food quality.

I had high hopes. Yes, it's in the Holiday Inn, but the menu is ambitious and the Facebook page…read moreseems to indicate that the chef is serious. Boy, were those hopes dashed. The room is dreary and way too brightly lighted. The service was slow almost to the point of being nonexistent. Salads were fine, and my dining companion's "American Kobe" steak was acceptable, but my elk medallions were bizarre. Four pieces of meat, one that was fine and what you would expect an elk medallion cooked medium-rare to look like -- gamey, chewy -- next to three very thin, very dark pieces of what look to be previously frozen and overcooked beef liver. I ordered pasta Bolognese as a side dish because I had never seen it as a side dish before, and what I got was penne topped with what appeared to be canned diced tomatoes "Italian-style" and shredded mozzarella cheese. I ordered a glass of red wine that utterly stumped the waitress, even though (a) it's on the menu and (b) a bottle of the same wine is displayed up front. The drinks didn't come until we reminded the waitress once our entrees showed up. (The wine was fine, for the record -- a Spanish temperanillo). The other side dish, sweet-potato "barrels" -- was a pretty tasty take on tater tots. The waitress asked how the food was, and I explained, as nicely as I could, the "one of these things is not like the other" elk medallions, making it pretty clear they were Not Good. Her response? "So, would you like those boxed up to take home?" Again, I had high hopes, but any signs that this is anything but a pedestrian hotel restaurant (and really maybe not even that good) should be ignored. At that price point, you could eat pretty well at Oliver's or Wyoming's Rib and Chop House or 1893 Grille & Spirits.
