MR KITCHEN This is the worst company I have ever dealt with…read more We signed a contract to have a new kitchen installed on May 11 2019. It is still not finished. They want the full payment before installing the kitchen. Here is a short list of the issues with this company. We received a schedule for delivery, installation, inspection by them and the countertop measurement date. The date the countertop company would come in to measure. 1) They barely made the delivery date, I took time off and had to call them to find out what was happening. 2) The installer showed up the next day and installed the kitchen. 3) Once he completed we noticed many issues, cracked door, incorrect cabinet placement, wrong size cabinets.... And the list goes on 4) The installer did not follow the plan and we could not even slide our stove in its location. The cabinets were misaligned. 5) The designer did not leave enough room for doors to open so the blind corner baskets cannot slide out as they are suppose too. 6) The inspection was scheduled byt them for the next day at approx. 8:00am. No one showed up so I called. 7) The service manager did not know where his inspector was??????????? 8) He never showed up to inspect before the countertop company came to measure. 9) Countertop company came the next day and measured for countertops. 10) I realized the measurements would be bad because the cabinets were not in their correct location so I called MR. No one returned my call. 11) I called the countertop company myself and had them put the countertop on hold. 12) Finally 3 days later and at the last minute they sent the inspector. They called me at work to say they would be there in 1 hour? He spent 2 hours identifying what had been done wrong. 13) We assumed they would fix it ASAP. WRONG 14) For the next 4 months when they sent technicians to fix, repair or replace, they had the wrong pieces or the wrong size doors or not all the parts... All of them wrote down size of doors and cabinets.... But somehow that information was lost every time. They would come back with mismatched pieces and 1 time with a door that was 1 foot to short. When they noticed the blind corner unit could not slide out the service manager said that that was normal.??? (I have the emails) 15) All they had to do was look at the plan but I think that is to logical. 16) They had no idea from one person to the next what was going on. 17) We are still missing toe kicks because last time they came the piece was 3 feet to short? 18) This was just a taste of what dealing with this company was like.

In 8 business days (right before the Christmas holidays) they tore everything out and...*deep breath* replaced a crank window with a double-hung one, updated the electrical, moved the lighting, installed a ceiling vent (there was none before), swapped out the tub for a walk-in shower, replaced the hideous wall tile with panels, swapped out the linoleum floor for marble tile, replaced the toilet, vanity, mirror and storage cabinet, fixed my lop-sided pocket door, installed a gorgeous trim around the door and window, replaced the baseboard, patched up 2 huge and unsightly access panels, painted the bathroom, installed all the bathroom accessories, and tested - then retested - everything! As a couple who is particularly picky about, well, everything, working with Eric is a real pleasure. He consulted with us every step of the way, cleaned up his work space at the end of every day, and once again went above and beyond to ensure we were not only pleased with the final product, but that everything was solidly installed, level, square, and had multiple levels of protection against water infiltration. My complete kitchen remodel was handled seamlessly within 2 months from our first initial meeting and all from in our own home!! Amazing guidance with step by step process by this contractor with our total design we had planned for our new kitchen footprint and layout to cabinet selections and stone countertop selections, prestigious carpentry skills, drywall finish and plumbing to the tiling of backsplash, and our hardwood floor installation of the complete main level entrance to our new kitchen along with complete construction of a wall we had removed for a more open concept. They handled all city building permits seamlessly and the 2 onsite meetings with the city building code inspectors. From my 1st conversation to the final days of the project, the entire crew were always available to answer all my questions, on time, and professional. This past summer we had a disaster: a rainstorm soaked the floor and the wall under the window in…read moreour basement guest room. Even worse, it happened days before we were scheduled to leave for a long-awaited trip to see extended family. We really didn't want to miss it. Fortunately we knew this was a good contractor as they had done some excellent work for us previously. These guys came right away and got to work. We left on schedule. They ran tests and identified the type of mold present in the wall. Unfortunately moisture had been seeping in and/or condensing in all the foundation walls for some time, they discovered. They removed the mold and got the proper machines to dry and decontaminate the place. We decided to redo just about the whole basement, if they were up for it, and they were. They added various measures to prevent any future mold and improve energy efficiency, like waterproof insulation and regrading outside. And they added an egress window, backflow valve, some nice pot lights, and beautiful laminate flooring. All the work was completed promptly and to a high degree of quality. We are very happy with our basement and would not hesitate to recommend Forever Kitchens as a contractor.
