The young lady who…read moreserved us was very pleasant and helpful and despite their computer system being "completely crashed" (a situation that sounds like a regular occurance) she took her time to explain exactly what the deal was. I like the fact that the phones are not locked to a network and the prices were very good. Unfortunately the phone we wanted was only available on Orange so we had to buy it from the Orange shop who were far less helpful. Definitely a shop I'll be returning to and if this Watford branch is representative I can see how Carphone Warehouse became so successful.

Yeah, I'm kind of biased to the fact that UK celluar service is so much cheaper than it is in the US, but all that aside, it was a quick, easy good value here. The only annoyance came along when I couldn't make my purchase using my credit card. There is a chip and pin system that isn't used in the US that they require for purchases over 100 pounds, so even though they take credit I had to run across the street for cash.

By contrast my experience of JOHN, a member of staff at the Clapham Junction store, was far from satisfactory. He was extremely rude and accused me of having an "attitude" when in fact he was the one with the attitude problem. He is in dire need of customer service training. I have already made a formal complaint via the Vodafone website. The person I dealt with via that route was particularly helpful. I certainly would not recommend using the Clapham Junction branch of Vodafone.

The store is clean, well laid-out and never too busy. Staff seems prepared to lend a helping hand and make customers like me, aware of plans that are better than what they've got for less money! Not that Vodafone needs props but for those away from home, add £5 onto your bill and you can call North American mobiles and land-lines for 5p a minute. Much better that their 89p per minute regular charge.
