Almost immediately it became my go-to shop for art supplies - and framing supplies as well. I do a bit of framing on the side for myself, family, and friends, and they carry a great selection of mat boards and backer/mounting boards, including archival products. I can't really speak to their in-store frame selection since I've only needed mat board and mounting supplies since I started shopping here. Their art supply selection is huge, and they carry just about anything you could need. The customer service has always been excellent - everyone I've interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. And if someone wasn't personally familiar with what I needed help with, they were always quick to find another associate who was. Their prices are also very fair, especially considering the excellent selection and customer service you get in return. I would absolutely recommend this Jerry's to anyone. If you've never shopped there before, I think you'll be very happy once you do!

It had been a few years since I last brought something in and I was pleased that after a few moments the owner remembered me. We looked at the poster, noticed the flaws, and determined that the poster was still worthy of being worked on. We decided on putting the poster on black foam core. I was quoted the price for the service and I paid 50% down. The owner also told me the normal turnaround time for a project like this but assured me that she would have it done before that time since the poster was holiday-themed. When I came back to pick up the poster, she had it out on the floor for all to see. We then put the poster on the table and she pointed out the poster flaws and a way to help cover a few of them. Professional service, polite small business owner, reasonably priced.

Charles and crew did an amazing job and for the work done, I thought the cost was reasonable. Since then, I've had about 20 pieces framed from original photography, serigraph prints, original paintings and a few reframing jobs. It goes without saying that the work was really great and I thought the craftsmanship was excellent. Everyone on the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Charles and family are truly great to work with and Susan is especially good with helping to select the right color mats and framing finishes. She has a great eye.

If your preference is modern art and something far away from the early precursors of impressionism, this may not be a shop you'll like. On the other hand, if you're ready to explore the triangle art scene and appreciate all art, this easily could be the start or the end of your tour. Clark fills in the gap left by other art galleries in the area. Most of the works are 18th to 19th century with a smattering of early 20th century by lesser known (to the average person, like me) artists, including some by locals. I spent time chatting with the owner on certain pictures or prints that captured my eye while he explained drawing or painting techniques, gave a brief bio of the artist, and in general, gave me an opportunity to see it in a whole new light. There's a depth of detail in old art, that while clearly dating the picture, leaves you thinking you've seen it before. The best part of this for me, was knowing I can buy these paintings for a reasonable price. Despite the Yelp name implying something different, Clark Art is more than picture frames. It's worth a stop, if only for a short time, when you're on your way to or from any of the venues on Glenwood.
