We had first went during the height of COVID19 and there were lots of empty booths, but the most recent time, everything was filled again and its great to see all of the items. Doggo loves it. The issue was the 3 employees behind the counter making snide remarks about people shopping in the store and criticizing our purchases. Sorry but I don't think what I purchased was ugly. I can definitely find other places to support locally. As a business owner myself it was a bummer to not feel welcome and appreciated for spending money in the store, but glad we still purchased our items, because we think they are great.

In the back corner of the store were the jewelry and lotions and handcrafted soaps from Moondance, a Raleigh company. The minute I walked in the door, the owner came up to greet me, carrying the most adorable little dog, both welcoming me to the store. I was also told there were birthday cupcakes for the dog's birthday. How could you not like a store like that? For the short period I was in the store, the owner answered my questions, directed me to certain items, offered to make a deal on some candles and jewelry, and then very nicely wrapped the items I had designated as gifts. As I turned to leave, she reminded me of the birthday cupcakes as her dog slept in the cute little bed near the cash register. If you're looking for a unique gift for a reasonable price, and like being waited on by friendly, helpful people, this is the place.

A mix of antiques, signs, crafts, a lot of candles and a small bit of clothing. We bought a vintage magazine - fascinating to read about life in 1940. The lady who was working there was extremely helpful and friendly. There are a few buildings to go in - you'll find chalk painted furniture as well as paints, more antiques, local bbq sauces/T-shirt's, and more. Definitely a spot to grab a unique gift for someone! Prices were very reasonable, too! Conveniently located off Durant, right near the railroad tracks - a little hard to see as it's way back off the Durant but look for the big banner posted out front.

Besides the shop, in which you will find candles; stationery; clothing; baby items; items for the home; self care; and much more, they also offer workshops so you can learn some new skills. I worked with Lavish for over a year on a major remodel and would never recommend them. Jenny is nice and I love her design aesthetic but I found them disorganized, unreliable, and dishonest. They sell a good story and can't deliver. I had several items delivered that looked markedly different than the ones we had approved (so many excuses) and months of ignored emails/phone calls/texts. My kitchen and laundry room are GORGEOUS but it was not worth the headache, I am very sorry to say.
