Air conditioning on 2nd floor track hasn't worked all summer - actually there have been issues with…read moreit going back as far as the summer of 2020. We asked several times about this in June, and were told, "a part is coming in at the end of June, and another part is coming in in August." Ok. Nobody even thought to put any large industrial-type fans on each half of the track apparently. Considering most of the people who walk the track here are probably between 50 and upper 80's, this is a considerable disservice to the community to have this many problems with the A/C for over 3 years. Keep in mind, we all pay for this. Word around town is, "almost nobody goes to walk the track because the air doesn't work." You've been warned. Now for nice weather or for fall/winter months, things are usually ok. But the fact that they have had issues with the a/c for over 3 years is also telling.

It only includes the basic weights and a walking track which I couldn't even see because they walked over to the gym that was having a basketball game and said look there's the track upstairs I'm like OK there's no indoor pool and for $40, you get the classes added in whoopie now keep in mind there's not really a wide variety of classes and you could join other places for less that offer so much more And for the elite membership you get the pool for a whopping maybe 8 to 10 weeks if it's even warm enough and that's like around $60 a month and I don't know why you would do that for only 8 to 10 weeks of using something look around because you can join other places and get much more for less

Weather was not the greatest and they smiled through it all. They have kept us busy and provided an experience with great stops and food choices were surpassed. Hotel rooms overlook Lake Huron with fully furnished balconies. We still have one more day tomorrow. I could have never done this trip without them and i have met some wonderful friends. When…read moreI first moved to Aurora, I was excited that there was a park district gym walkable to my house. I checked out the old Prisco gym and it was ... well, a couple of treadmills and a weight set in a room that was pretty close to an oversized broom closet. Well, after getting some money from the government they completely overhauled the fitness center and now I think the facilities rival some of the premium gyms I've been a member of, including Equinox back in Los Angeles and Lifetime locally as everything is BRAND NEW. All the machines have these massive screens on them, with a variety of apps like Netflix and YouTube that you can use to watch video while you work out. They even support Bluetooth headphones, which you can pair via a little fiddling around in the menus. Cooler yet, if you create a log in on the machine, it saves all your settings so you only need to log in with the one shared username and passwords across all the machines to get access to your same Netflix account and everything else. It's super convenient, particularly if your passwords for these services are complicated. There's a ton of different cardio machines and a full array of weight lifting options. I spend most of my time on the stair machine, but even when I go to Prisco at prime time in the mornings or evenings, there's never a wait for anything. My theory on that is this facility is in this interesting spot among local gyms: Planet Fitness is way cheaper, so if you just care about the lowest pricing that's where you go. On the other hand, if you want to pay a little bit more you can go to the Vaughn center on Indian Trail and have access to the pool and indoor track. For me, Prisco is the Goldilocks gym as it just has what I want: A ton of new equipment. I never used the pool or track at Vaughn, and the low-cost gyms seem like a good place to get MRSA. I do wish the locker rooms were a little nicer, but this is so close to my house I never shower there anyway. They DO have small towel service for towels while you're working out, but if you want to shower there you need to bring your own from home. (Or I guess you could get creative and use a couple of the small towels.) We pay $36 a month for a couples membership, which seems pretty solid. It's not the cheapest place in town, and also not the most expensive. Being in that middle ground seems to make for a super empty gym which I am 100% A-OK with.

Signed up for a yoga class earlier this year. It wasn't great tbh. I don't remember the name of the…read moreinstructor. White lady with shoulder length hair. She was always barking orders and critiquing your yoga stances loudly in front of everyone. She also would complain about people who eat meat. I'm shy so I don't appreciate getting yelled at in front of other people regarding my yoga technique. Won't be back.

Whitney made this experience extremely disappointing and honestly ruined my daughter's birthday…read moreparty. First, I had to pay for the party twice. I initially paid over the phone, and although the charge posted to my bank account, somehow it never registered with the park district. Because of that, I had to dispute the charge. To make matters worse, the park district is now trying to fight the dispute even though it was clearly a double charge situation. Before the party, I spoke with Whitney and was informed that extending the party to 5:30 PM would not be an issue because the final party slot was from 3:30-5:30 PM. The hosting itself was extremely disorganized. The kids did not begin playing games until nearly 4 PM, despite the party already being underway, and they were supposed to eat at 4:30 PM. Later, I asked again about extending the party to 5:30 PM, and the hosts stated, "We don't mind." While I left briefly to pick up pizza, I also spoke with Crystal at the front desk, who informed me she had spoken with Olivia, the host lead, and after a meeting near the front desk, everyone confirmed everything was fine regarding the extension. When I returned with the pizza, Crystal and both hosts again reassured me there were no issues and that the party could continue until 5:30 PM. Then at 4:53 PM, Whitney suddenly called and said, "Just to confirm, your party ends at 5 PM." At that point, I was beyond confused because every host, front desk employee, and supervisor I had spoken with had already confirmed otherwise. To make matters worse, once we were back in the party room, the hosts suddenly told me the kids could not eat in the room and instead had to eat in the hallway. My daughter was not even allowed to sing "Happy Birthday" properly in the room. I literally had to sing Happy Birthday to my daughter in the hallway. The entire experience felt chaotic, poorly communicated, and incredibly inconsiderate. It honestly felt like Whitney found every reason possible to make my daughter's special day difficult instead of enjoyable. Ironically, one of the hosts later apologized to me directly and even stated, "We really don't mind since there isn't another party." This completely contradicted what Whitney had been saying. First it was that another party was coming, then it changed to "custodial needs to come in." From the reservation process to the actual event, this was one of the worst party experiences I have ever had, and I deeply regret choosing this location for my daughter's birthday.

I don't have much experience with the Lithuanian culture, scratch that, I don't have ANY experience…read morewith the Lithuanian culture so I was intrigued by this place with signs in a very unfamiliar language. This was the ceremony site of a friends wedding and it was a great choice. Very cute little cathedral with very high ceilings that connected at an angle. The father speaks Lithuanian so he can perform a dual language ceremony for you (and apparently they have classes in the language here as well). Beyond the cathedral this place is huge! Classrooms, bathrooms, a bathroom with a tub and shower, a kitchen, a beautician on site, a banquet hall, and a dining room that leads out onto a lawn with extra seating. We had the rehearsal dinner here with traditional Lithuanian food, wine and beer catered in (so alcohol is allowed). Definitely a place to keep in mind if you are looking for traditional Lithuanian. i sveikata!
