As sad as I am to not see dr simmert anymore as he was a great dr and has seen my daughter since she was born, I've finally had enough of the receptionists. They were friendly in the beginning however once my insurance switched they were very very rude despite me being nice. There's a way to explain something rather than being a complete bitch about it and yelling at another adult. This was on multiple occasions, not worth my time or drive. read more

It would have a good visit except for one old lady that worked there. I think her name was Pam. That Pam was very rude. That Pam made me uncomfortable when she looked at me with her RBF. She reminded me of the witch in Hansel and Gretel because she looked at my kids like she wanted to shove them in an oven and cook and eat them. If I could give zero stars I would. My child had pertussis and I begged the staff for over 2 weeks to prescribe her an antibiotic. They would not. I ended up taking her to a nearby hospital who then believed me, tested her and prescribed an antibiotic for her. The very worst medical care I've ever experienced for my children. read more

My children used this as their primary physician for many years, and all of the doctor's and office are nice. Unfortunately they are the only pediatric office in the city and so there is always a ridiculous wait, a crowded office, and some level of hassle. I've moved to San Antonio and the difference is night and day. My children's current provider has a gorgeous office, low wait times, and never seems rushed. This office also contains an amazing pediatric dental office, and this is managed with only one physician and one dentist. I would have ranked the Children's Office higher, if I had not experienced such an elevated level of care here. Monopolies are never a good thing competition forces providers to offer more. read more

I switched here from Haddad in grand Blanc. Yes I wait now but the level of care and concern is worth it. Trust me. I know. Haddad was by far the worst. I had no wait because he comes in and writes a script for antibiotics and sends you out the door. These doctors here care. Even when I asked about circumcision the doctor knew it's not medically necessary. These doctors are up to date and not following a fad. read more

They were really great, but now it they just pawn my kids off on the nurse practioners. When I ask questions about my children's health, I get told "well that isn't possible" with no further explanation. Then if I specifically ask to see a doctor we need to schedule our appointment nearly a month in advance. I was told that i could leave a message for a nurse, but it was the nurse practitioner who told me my child cannot have allergies because he is under 3. I am not a doctor, so maybe it couldn't possibly be allergies, but I need more help with my child's health than "well, that just isn't possible." read more

My son was seeing Dr. Simmert, he is great, we were really happy with him, it is his staff that is lacking...seriously. They messed up his billing and when we called FOUR TIMES to try to figure out what was going on, we were told that someone from billing would get back with us, and they never did. We gave up. I can handle less than helpful staff if the doctor is worth it, but this was too much. read more

Staff is absolutely rude as can be. Just spoke to Kathy on the phone who called me regarding a missed appointment two hours after said appointment. Literally had an attitude for the beginning. She hung up on me the moment I acknowledged the missed appointment, she didn't even ask or give me the option to reschedule. Then when I call back, she just talks over me and keeps saying "How am I supposed to know you want to reschedule?" I'm just thinking, you ask? It's kind of your job as a receptionist to be receptive of people. Why else would you call me two hours after the missed appointment? It's not like it was a friendly reminder call. Also, I wasn't sure of the need to repeatedly say that there will be a $50 fee for his missed appointment. When I first started taking my son here 4 years ago, the staff actually cared. It's gone so far down hill since then. Like I told her, she is very unprofessional and is bad for business. I know I'm taking my child elsewhere and I'll never recommend this place to anyone again. read more
