I have been an avid OUAC shopper. I have been to multiple locations in multiple states and always…read moreleft with some great clothes for my kiddos, felt good about the price paid, and would take my own children's clothes there for a small payment or donation (see end for more info about this part). This location, however, is very different from the ones I have been to. I have been to this location more than 5 times. 1. Most of their clothes are very faded, pilled, stained, or stretched out. 2. In their very limited collection I have found very little diversity. 3. There is absolutely no short sleeve pajamas, like ever, and if you are looking for "Boys", good luck 4. When you bring in clothes, they are very "selective" with what they purchase, although it does not show in their inventory. 5. What upset me the most was when they denied all of my clothes (none dirty, weathered, or damaged), they told me to pick them up or they would be "disposed of"... As stated, I have sold items at other locations and when some of my items were denied, OUAC employees would DONATE THEM, not DISPOSE of them. This company is supposed to be about sustainability and recycling children's clothes, but this location would take perfectly fine clothes and throw them in the trash, instead of donating them to CHKD or other kids in need. There is a deep separation in the values of this OUAC and others I have been to. Their website and mission statement preach "sustainability" , but actions show that they have no problem disposing of clothes in unsustainable ways. When I was notified that my giant bag of kids clothes would be thrown away, I quickly picked them up and brought them to CHKD. I believe this OUAC needs a reminder of the purpose of their stores. All other locations I have seen employed mothers, large piles and bags of clothes to be donated, fair prices on good, quality clothes, and a sense of community, but here all of my expectations are not met.

A genuine friendly customer exchange literally gives me a greater joy in supporting small businesses. They host a Facebook live showcasing new items every week. That's kinda cool. You can also shop online at any time. When you consign with them, you do not get any money on the spot; you get a check once a month. Overall, I find Michelle's to be a better experience than franchise consignment shops and I'm pretty sure you will, too.

I had trusted her professional opinion when she assured me before that this joey couture shirt was high quality. Sherry the owner got upset when my boyfriend asked could we get cash back (but per posted policy its only exchange or store credit) and asked him y was he talking when he didn't buy anything, and he wasn't a customer because he didn't buy anything and she didn't want him in the store. I'm taken back because I can't understand y she's so upset. She continues to holler and by now my hands are shaking and I'm on the verge of tears because of her demeanor. She proceeds to call security Me, my boyfriend and 2 boys walk outside. We decide to call the police. They can't do anything because its a civil matter. This store misrepresented their product. And has low integrity. Also does not uphold their posted return policy and is unprofessional. The next morning when I wake up I'm still bothered by the experience. I feel it should be illegal for privately owned stores to not uphold their posted policies and feel they can treat people any way they want. This is a cute market!…read more My husband was invited by a vendor he knows so we drove down for the October market on a pretty, sunny day. There are tons of vendors here - in front of Waterside they're easy to see but there are more inside and on the back area by the water so be sure to walk through the building (a few were set up inside in back by the doors) and onto the sidewalk outside where there were easily another 10-15 tents. There is a lot of vintage/flea market clothing but there are also vendors selling their crafts like wood cutting boards, stones and crystals, bags, soaps and candles, etc. We had a good time and everyone was very friendly.
