I can't say enough good things about the dudes who run this hole-in-the-wall barber shop. My 3 year old is a handful when it comes to haircuts and we had been taking him to a kiddie place that charges way too much for basically crew cuts. Every time we asked them to do something else, he walked out with the same high and tight military cut as the last time. And he would scream and fuss and be miserable. Every. Single. Time. We decided to try taking him with his daddy to Classic Gentleman. I came with in case he needed wrangling while dad was getting his cut, but it wasn't necessary at all. The shop owner, Vern, immediately put him at ease by plying him with candies. Now every time we go, my son sees the booster seat getting put on the chair and RUNS over saying, "it's my turn!" I worried that I would feel weird hanging or in and old school barbershop (aka dude country) but both Vern and Patrick are totally chill. They also always remember you. We love this place! read more

Congratulations! This is the best and greatest barbershop in all the Universe, You are very lucky! I've been coming here for haircuts since 1973. All these barbers are over the top the best of the best. Plus, they are amazing at fixing bad haircuts if you're stuck out of State and have to get a haircut somewhere else. lol My brother always comes here to get a real haircut when he's in from Washington State just to feel what it's like to have a perfect haircut again. It had been way too long since my last haircut. David to the rescue! This place has it all. I always have anxiety about finding a new Barber / Stylist, but this place delivered on everything: fast, friendly, affordable, knew what I wanted and was able to follow through with a better haircut than I even expected. When I got home my wife said it was the best haircut I have ever got! And that says a lot, because I've spent ridiculous amounts on haircuts before that were nowhere near is nice. This is a legitimate old school barber shop, even down to the vintage barber chairs that they have. I grew up going to a nearby barber shop in the 80s/90s and the chairs from that shop have made their way here. It's no frills shop and they do a great job! I've gone here a few times for a straight razor head shave and they do an amazing job. Even though I live in California, and only come in when I'm into town they always remember my name and welcome me like a regular. read more

So my husband went here on Thursday. He needed a haircut and a beard trim. Vern got him in right away and gave him the best haircut he's had in a really long time. These guys are awesome! If you are looking for a great old school barber you found the place. They take their time making sure your hair looks just right and even if there's a wait you can just grab a soda from the fridge and enjoy the conversation. Plus it's affordable only 13 bucks for a cut. This is definitely my go to barbershop now. read more

After coming here many times, I realized that I have never reviewed it online. So, here it goes.... this shop is not your ordinary barbershop but, that's the good part. They are sometimes irreverent, but always tremendously entertaining. It can't be too bad because my dad brings 2 of my nephews in frequently. The banter back-and-forth between the barbers and customers is awesome. It provides an awesome atmosphere. Kinda like the Barbershop version of the "Cheers bar". Most customers are greeted by name. Mine seems to usually be MISSSter Osborn! But that's the social aspect of the shop. The functional aspect is just as good.... there are several barbers there now, because they are so good, they expanded a few doors down from the same location it had been in for 50 or so years. As a result, you can get served by several different barbers and find one that works best for you. Really, if you can speak and tell them what you want, you can't go wrong with any barber you'd get. Vern has done well with his vision of what a Barber shop should be. My advice would be.... GO THERE. read more

The haircuts are okay but what irked me today was a comment made by Patrick (one of the barbers). After asking me if I was a veteran and asking where I went, he asked if I have PTSD. I brushed it off however he laughed and I was like WTF? That is completely unprofessional and I have decided to take my business elsewhere.
