They were prompt, polite and did a great job. They addressed what I needed to be done

I've been using the Cleaning Authority for a few months now and am happy with their service. They dust, vacuum, mop, change the beds, take out the trash, clean counters, and so on. If I could change anything, it would be to have a consistent crew, as I prefer not to have too many different people in my home. However, that is a minor issue for me. I have enjoyed meeting the various staff members. They have all been pleasant and respectful. We have also had supervisors come to view their work on several occasions, which is a plus. read more

We agreed upon a two man team, for two hours. When I spoke with April, she told me that if the two hours came to an end, and there were still some left to do the cleaners would ask permission. I told her that my husband wouldn't know how to respond, and they could go ahead and finish the job that they were doing. She explained they would still gain permission prior to staying beyond the two hour mark- which didn't occur. Apparently, this gave April the go ahead to send three people. I was not home when they were cleaning but my husband reached out to let me know after they had been there for a while because he thought I had said it was two men and three people came (I assumed one was in training). The note the cleaners had with them stated "unlimited time" which is not exactly how I phrased it. My husband said it took about 2.5-2.75 hours. On Monday I received an astronomical bill for just under $600. I reached out questioning the bill (it was more than $200 over what I was anticipating for their longer stay) and they told me they charged me for an additional person. I responded and said this was never discussed. Both in writing (via email) and during the conversation we had when scheduling the clean, a two person team was agreed upon. The response I received was basically "Sorry that we didn't specify we chose to bring in the third person, but it would've cost you the same either way." So April pretty much said: Sorry, not sorry. They didn't do the ceiling fans. I did them, which was not a big deal, until I got a bill that was almost $600, and it wasn't a deep clean- no baseboards, fridge, oven, trash emptying, walls or windows (they don't do). I called and asked for the owner to give me a call when he got in. April answered the phone and said she would be happy to help me. I realized shortly into the conversation that she was the one that booked the team, sent out the cleaners, and replied to my emails. I ended the conversation by re-requesting that she have the owner call me when he got in, as she absolutely had no plans on rectifying the situation, or even admitting that she had an error on her part. Throughout the conversation she continued tell me it would cost me the same either way, because they would have to stay longer. I would've taken over after three hours. The only reason I even hired a cleaner, is because we had a large event the next day, and I am due to have my third child in two weeks. I typically don't do the mopping, dusting and vacuuming until Saturday or Sunday, and it would have been a lot to take on after working all day. The team was generally professional and courteous when I discussed issues with them, so that was a plus. Unfortunately they sent 2 people who spent 3 hours cleaning our new home for move-in, but there was still much uncleaned. The home had brand new finished floors all around, brand new paint on all walls and baseboards, and was completely empty. We were told the time was spent cleaning the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. After the work was done I checked and the bathroom counters, sinks, cabinets, drawers all still needed to be cleaned. The Kitchen was better but still needed work. All in all - the time spent did not match up with what we saw cleaned. We had to hire additional cleaners for the areas that the Cleaning Authority supposedly cleaned. Their price was also 5 times more expensive than the other cleaners we found. We were forced into this situation because we really need to move our items into the house, but we wanted it clean before doing so. I would not recommend them at all. the team did an awesome job. everything was cleaned and the whole house just looks great. well worth the price. I highly recommend them.

So I tried them twice. They charge more the first two cleans. I could not even tell if they were there. My things still dirty. My floor not mopped. They don't take out the trash. read more

I didn't have high expectations and made them clear at the outset. Or at least I believed I had. I liked the crew for the most part. My toddler loved watching them clean and they encouraged him to engage with them, which is why I'm so upset and frustrated with how this played out. During our last scheduled clean, the manager visited as she often does to oversee the work. This time, however, she wished to address "concerns" to me. What they boiled down to - and what she didn't outright say - was that she felt the crew was spending too much time and wanted to cut back some of the labor to get them out the door quicker. The way she chose to address it was offensive to me and felt very condescending. She indicated that my toddler and the playroom where I kept him entertained during the majority of the clean were serious hindrances to the quality of their work, despite me making it clear to the crew on numerous occasions that it wasn't a problem to skip that room. She walked through my entire house with me to see if there was anything she could point out that was an issue (she could not) and then made it sound as if she was doing me a favor by offering to have the crew do less work. She suggested cutting taking out the garbage, making the bed, and cleaning an entire room to make more time for focusing elsewhere, but where and what that extra focus would be were unclear. We chose to terminate our service the next day, just days before receiving notice of a price increase (the second in the 2 years we hired this company). If it had been addressed to us directly as an issue of time and labor being greater than the quoted estimate, we would have been willing to work with them to reduce labor or pay for more time. As it stands, I felt that my child, my home, and my intelligence were all insulted. read more

I had the same experience as another customer. They started out great...then tapered off. When I called they blamed my dog. Their last clean at my house they didn't vacuum, didn't take out the trash, and didn't make the beds. When I called to raise my concern about the dwindling level of service I was told that it was somehow my fault they were too distracted to do their jobs due to my 2 8lb dogs. Honestly, I don't expect them to clean up an accident if one occurs but for goodness sake to just not clean anything because you were disturbed by it is absurd. For the record it was one accident at the back door. Somehow that ment they were unable to clean the upstairs, stairway, or empty any of the trash. Best part was the secretary who talked down to me! It's a cleaning service, they're paid to do menial tasks that I don't want to...not be rude Go elsewhere, they aren't worth the money or the hassle. read more

They started out great, but their quality of work dwindled over time. We kept wondering why a figurine on the mantle kept spinning until my husband stayed home sick. They just stuck a Swiffer duster between everything in the mantle....didn't move anything. read more

When looking for a cleaning company I highly recommend you search elsewhere. The level of consistency, quality of work and customer service leaves MUCH to be desired. We had them cleaning our home for more than 2 years. During this time there were multiple issues including doors being left unlocked, various items (to include sinks, toilets, showers and linen changes) being ignored, trash being disposed of in our garage, and the "friendly" secretary who works in the office. Definitely a treat! Being the avid and honest yelper that I am I will just state the facts. We hired them to clean. They did mediocre work...at best...when it was done. When I called to inform management that we were having issues their response was to come out and make it right...which is wonderful. A company that stands by their work is commendable but...are you going to have someone come back to make your bed? No, you are going to chalk it up to an over site and do the work that you paid them to do yourself. Once or twice is fine...when it becomes a pattern it gets frustrating. The problem with this company is that it is a pattern. I was given excuses to include "the girl was new. She is still orienting", "that girl is going through a lot right now", and even "they didn't know where to put the trash." I am empathetic but, excuses, like trash (they) left in your garage, gets old. When asked for compensation (to extend outside of the clean they were going to redo because it was incomplete) I was told "we are not going to give you are free clean. Is that what you expect? We are a business. We have to make money too." And there you have it...the bottom line is the Benji. If you do decide to use them, which I highly caution against, get your agreement in writing...and hang onto it. While the written agreement said one thing the "secretary" said they were to be cleaning other than what was in writing and that is what they stick to. I would like to only leave half of a star. The cleaning was hit and miss. When they only did 3 rooms in my house they blamed my dog saying he had urinated in the dining room. A bald face lie I had checked the all the rooms right before they came. They said my house was too disorganized. They were arrogant and condescending. The team were not my usual cause they had gotten rid of the 2 I usually have. I called and complained they didn't clean the kitchen, the laundry room ,left the vacuum cleaner in the middle of the living room. They weren't here more than half an hour if that long. When the office person called me back she continued to defend their work and blame my dog and my disorganization. They were professional cleaners not here to organize my condo. She was the most arrogant and condescending person i have ever dealt with. So basically their people don't make mistakes. They couldn't be bothered to take trash from the extra bathroom or the kitchen to the bin in garage. I had them skip the master bedroom and bath so they had very little. The girl in the office said she would call me back on Wednesday which she didn't and when she called and kept blaming my dog and me I told her I can find someone who can do a lot better. She didn't want to hear that. She wouldn't listen when I said I no longer need them anymore she said she would call at the end of the month to see if I had changed my mind I told her I wasn't changing my mind.
