This is one of those companies that needs a zero star button. I used them to clean my house before I moved in. The house was completely empty and I wanted the floors, cabinets, and kitchen to be cleaned. When I got home the floors were still dirty, used a swifter to clean the tile and it was turning the pads black. I called them to see if they could issue a refund or come back out. They told me only a manager could decide on a refund, called a couple of times, they never did anything. Claimed they sent people back out, they did not send anyone. I figure if they cant even clean a empty house, good luck if you are living in the home! I just got a flyer from this company and they claim that they are reliable, affordable, guarantee work, and thorough. I would not agree. Maybe affordable, but whats the point if the service is trash. I've used this cleaning service for years, and overall the cleaners have always done a pretty good job. They've never necessarily been overachievers, but I've also rarely had complaints. I continued using them for a long time because they were reliable enough, and I understand accidents happen in any business. Over the years, small things have broken here and there during cleans, but I've always been understanding about it because mistakes happen and no one is perfect. Recently though, we had brand new carpet installed that was literally only four days old. During the cleaning, something happened that left marks on the carpet that honestly looked like burn marks. I was able to lessen some of it myself, but the carpet is still damaged. What disappointed me most was not necessarily the accident itself. It was the response afterward. Someone did reach out fairly quickly, but instead of trying to understand what happened or discuss a solution, the immediate response felt focused on proving it could not have been caused by their vacuum. I really just wanted honesty, accountability, and to know if they were willing to help make it right. After looking through other reviews, I realized this seems to be a recurring issue. Defensiveness instead of accountability when problems happen. One of the main reasons I originally chose this company years ago was because they were insured and bonded, which gave me peace of mind if accidents ever occurred. When I explained that I wanted to cancel services because our brand new carpet had been damaged and there didn't seem to be any resolution, I never heard back at all. They have poor customer service and their workers hardly get time to take breaks. We've been on a 2 week cleaning cycle with TCA in the east valley for nearly 2 years. They are wonderfully reliable, do many things we never got to when we did our own cleaning, and they are professional but also very nice people to have in our home. The price is very reasonable. We pay $150 and it is well worth it for a full house cleaning using their standard rotating deep clean technique. We recommend them to our friends and neighbors because they are trustworthy, reliable, and very good at what they do. No cleaning service is perfect, but they are far better than most. I'm often surprised to see something they cleaned beautifully and unexpectedly. But we are now spoiled by the standard cleaning which is wonderful, every time. read more

I had an empty home move out service "done" by the east valley cleaning authority team on 3/29. I was charged 918.00 dollars to end up spending my weekend actually cleaning the home as they said they did. I was quoted and explained all high traffic areas like door knobs and light switches would be cleaned, base boards, cabinets and drawers inside and out, blinds wiped and windows cleaned. They didn't complete the majority of the tasks promised like the cabinets and drawers, they did a poor job in the blinds and didn't even attempt to dust or clean my pantry or master closet. The light switches were left smudged and they swept debris from the home only my front door mat. To say i was shocked to see the mess they left undone was an understatement. I called the number on the website and spoke with customer service who advised they have a money back guarantee and to document the work done since having a team come back to resolve the issue was not an option as the keys were being turned over on Monday morning. corporate also let me know that the franchise was owned separately and that corporate was not in charge of their choices and to send them the images directly. So I did that on the local Facebook page via private message and an email address provided by corporate. I received no callback, had to call the local office multiple times and finally got a call back from a woman who empathized with my situation but needed to discuss financial resolution with leadership. I asked for a full refund since the only tasks completed were vacuuming and dusting the lights and wiping off counters. I finally received an email from the local branch owner Patrick Orr stating no financial refund would be provided. in this email he was condescending and rude saying my home had long term neglect and that's why his team was allowed to do a poor job. He also said I was unreasonable and he was disappointed in me for contacting their corporate office. I reached back out to corporate to discuss what next steps would be. I was told the owners above Patrick, Meagan or Ken would be contacting me directly to discuss this matter. No call came from them. This was by far the worst cleaning experience I have ever had. I am not a perfectionist and did not expect to walk into this house like it was brand new but I did expect the job I paid over 900.00 for to be done to the standards expressed in the consult. Gee David, it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks you're a con man. Look at these reviews! I wish I had read these before hiring your fraudulent company. The worst cleaning company in the valley. They damage your property, and they refuse to pay for the damage. They do a horrible job cleaning and the only remedy is to have them come back to do another half effort job. Which wastes everyones time. The customer service is embarrassing its so bad. Their service is truly atrocious. If you want to clean your own home after paying $200, by all means, hire these criminals. Specific grievances for people wondering: They don't mop, they run a damp swiffer cloth over your floors. They also don't vacuum your hard floors prior to "mopping" so the debris just gets shoved around your house. Their vacuum cleaner doesn't work. The owner is likely too cheap to invest in real equipment. David, you're greedy. The chemical cleaners they use gave me one of the worst headaches of my life. When I asked them to use my own cleaners, the cleaners tried to argue with me. They broke a cookbook holder and just left it. They left a huge gash in a cabinet in my laundry room, which I saw the cleaner do and the company still refused to fix it. They damage your property, they SUCK at cleaning. Go elsewhere. After the crew left we discovered a wallet containing $200 in cash had been removed from a bed stand drawer. We contacted Cleaning Authority who told us that we should file a police report. We did that and presented it ASAP. They told us that we could not prove that their team stole the wallet and that they considered the matter closed. It had to be one of the workers as no one other than my wife and I were in the house from before the cleaning to discovery of the missing wallet. I have to write this incident off. Do not use this company! We went on vacation and they came and cleaned our house. They were the only ones in the house while we were gone. This was the first time they cleaned while we weren't home. When we came home one of the bedrooms doors was off 2 hinges and wouldn't close. there were marks on the bottom of the door that look like someone kicked the door. When we contacted the cleaning authority they gave us the run around for 3 weeks... they refused to cancel our future cleanings or refund us anything for the damages made. Today I finally got them to cancel all future cleanings and our contract but they have been horrible to work with. Add to that they have also have checklists for each cleaning that they do not follow. We have found more things taken by these people since we wrote the original review! Thousands of dollars in loss. No one has been in our home except for their employees. Expensive clothing with tags on, five empty boxes of new shoes, two pairs of new expensive sneakers, medicine, cosmetics, jewelry, etc. intentional damage to our brand new bedding etc. etc. It has been heartbreaking. We feel violated. They told us they had insurance but not willing to help us with a claim or give us the contact information for insurance company. Be careful who you allow in your home. We used this company for over two years and were mostly satisfied with their service. The breaking point was when we had a set of plantation shutters completely fall down and break into pieces while being dusted by cleaners. We open and closed these same shutters daily with no issues- so the fact that they fell down with such force, also damaging our dining room table is so upsetting. I have used this company for about 8 years. We took them to our new house in Gilbert when we moved from Mesa. Since the service began 2.5 years ago we have had items broken and damage to my stove top range. My stove top being the biggest issue. We were assured by the owner Patrick that this would be addressed. That was back in July. My husband has called half a dozen times and emailed Patrick and he just avoids us. Since the initial complaint we have had horrible cleaning experience with them. They charge $150 to cancel a contract and require six cleanings even if it is not to your satisfaction. They do not clean shower heads or upper mirrors. They use damp rags that have a damp odor. They only wipe the bathrooms. They leave areas dusty. It's east valley, but they clean in Peoria. read more

If you want a quick "hit and run" cleaning, they will do a pretty good job. Every time they come, they say they focus on a specific room, but it's far from a deep clean. I found that moderate to deep cleaning requests costs extra and/or they will not do them. They will dust just about anything (they can reach from the ground), but wiping/washing things with a damp cloth is extra. For example, I asked about wiping down the blinds and they said they can dust them but wiping them down with a damp cloth is extra. They would not wipe down the kitchen cabinets doors/fronts with a damp cloth, but would dust them. I asked about cleaning/vacuuming the tops of the upper kitchen cabinets, and I was told that if they can't reach it from the ground, they can't clean it. Same with washing light fixtures and vacuuming/dusting built in shelves, window blinds, etc. They will only dust them as long as they can reach the area from the ground. I asked about flipping the master mattress. Nope. Can't do it. I asked about changing the linens. Nope. Can't do it. I asked about cleaning behind the range and behind the fridge. Nope can't do it. The only hard surface floors are in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. I asked if they could wash the floors by hand. Nope. And even when they mop they don't mop behind the doors. They will wipe down the kitchen and bathroom counters, but they won't move anything. And they don't clean any of the counter back splashes. Also, they sent different crews to the house each visit, so you have to explain again and again what you want done. Like I say, they'll do a pretty good job of a quick pass through. But not a deep clean. They are good about and willing to use my cleaning products and my vacuum cleaner. read more

I had my home cleaned a week ago, primarily for the baseboards and blinds. I am 90 years old and cannot do it myself. I noticed the baseboards were mostly clean, but they had not been touched in the master bathroom. I decided to let it go. We used The Cleaning Authority way back in the day at our old residence and they were much better and much more professional in the front office than they are today. The staff in the front office needs to be shaken up. They are terrible the way the talk to clients. The quality accross the board has changed dramatically since the leadership rolls have changed in the company. My stove was ruined by one of the so called cleaning teams. After i reported it to the office, they came out and inspected and confirmed it was damaged. I personally had a conversation with Patrick the owner and he said I will take care of fixing or replace the stove. My wife and I have called and emailed so many times and have continued to be ignored by the owner and the GREAT office staff they keep employeed at The Cleaning Authority. I hired this company with great exceptions and want the community to know they send incompetent cleaning crews to do "cleaning". The worker complained the whole time about hating her job and how hard it is as well as slamming my front gate several times. When I went to lock my front gate I discovered all of the trash from my house on my front walk. Needless to say I am not a happy camper. I highly recommend you not hire this company! Horrible. Paid over $600 for a "Deep Cleaning". 2 person crew for 6 hours. I am listing my house for sale and have about 20 big sets of wood shutters plus 2,500+ Sq ft of tile. I needed help getting everything extra clean. What a complete fail. Stripes of wiped wood in the middle of the still-dusty shutter slats. A cloudy residue on my darker tile floors, which are not even clean! A damp paper towel wipe on a randomly chosen 12" tile brought up plenty of dirt. There's a residue that I can feel on all the counter surfaces. The upholstery that was specifically requested to be vacuumed was not even touched. Paid for 2 hours for a "deep clean" and got my bathrooms and kitchen cleaned. I can clean my 2 bathrooms in 1 hour by myself and the kitchen is literally just wiping stuff down. They did not touch the shower or bathtub, didn't wipe down any of the extras for the detail clean. Tons was missed, didn't even do the basics like all the kitchen counter. Their attitudes were something. I'm dying of cancer and could have done a better job myself. They did not want to clean the inside of refrigerator that would cost an extra $25 they said they cleaned the fans and I looked at them they were full of dust. Couldn't use pumice to clean toilet as it could scratch the toilet. I've used pumice for years and never scratched a toilet. Baseboards they cleaned were still dirty. If I could give a 0 review I would. However - my fault for not looking at all the horrible reviews before I called them. They do an awful job cleaning. They only clean what you can see. Does not pick up items to wipe down, does not clean UNDER items on counters. Sections of the house are supposed to be on rotation (deep clean), and that's a lie. Every person I have spoke with (Sheena and Audra) either do not listen OR they just don't care. These are photos (some day of) of how my house looks (aren't we PAYING them to actually clean)? No one knew anything about what I was referring to, and even though I remained incredibly kind to the incompetent women on the phone, they still hung up on me. I would NOT recommend them. This is the WORST cleaning service ever!! The first cleaning they scratched the left side of my black stainless steel stovetop, didn't clean all the window sills, smuggled the patio door and the bathroom mirrors. They claimed their cleaning solutions won't scratch appliances. Of course, it wasn't the cleaning solution or the entire stovetop would have been scratched instead of only the left front area. They talk about training their staff, obviously Carlos was absent on training how to clean stainless steel appliances. When I did the virtual quote via facetime with the owner/or manager he kept commenting on how tidy my home was and that it would be easy to fit me into their rotation. First couple of cleanings were good, they sent in a team who appeared to know what they were doing. After awhile I noticed things were done in a hurry and such as dusting only top of furniture and bathrooms only being down with a cloth and not CLEANED. I was expecting deep cleanings in bathrooms and baseboards wiped (they mention baseboards being cleaned once a month) but that was not done. They offered to send a manager out but I declined because I was done with below average work. read more
