As a Harry Potter fan I absolutely loved this treasure of a store! While not quite the level of the NYC store it was still so much fun! In addition to Harry Potter they have other magical treasures. While I couldn't handle the sugar the "potions" looked great too! The wands were very cheap compared to Universal and much more ornate. Can't wait to bring my teen with me next time which will be very soon! read more

Stumbled upon this magical potion workshop because we we were drawn to the dragon outside. We had no clue that the potions were actually beverages. I can only have sugar free and am not a coffee drinker and there were way more options than I would expect on the skinny menu. I had the wizard light beer which was seltzer mixed with sugar free toffee, vanilla, butterscotch and unicorn cream. So good. Very sweet so it took me a while to drink it! Went to peddlers village as a birthday trip and stopped by the cloak and wand spot, I saw they had some mixed drinks so I tried the kings brew, it wasn't that sweet and seemed like it was a diet drink with that funny after taste, they had some cute stuff but very limited, I did like like they had some merchandise from spirited away but no tree spirits, I noticed the merchandise was pretty expensive and it seems you can get it way cheaper online, the staff was nice enough but hint smart ass attitude, I wouldn't go back, it's only meant to visit once. read more

This was something unique and cool that we never came across before in the years before visiting Peddlers Village. Whether it was there the whole time or not I have no idea. All I can say is that it was an intriguing site for my kids with the dragon out front so we had to take a stop in and see what the deal was. At first it seemed like a Harry Potter fans showroom with all the Harry Potter related gifts, books, and items. But then it just turned out all sorts of different forms of items for sale and display. Items from actual wands and spirit boards to candles and cookbooks with cocktail recipes said to "cast spells". At one point there was a Halloween display that we didn't know was on and it startled my wife and kids which was pretty entertaining for me but also I bit shocking since it was SO unexpected. It took a minute for the kids to calm down after that fright! Once we made our way through the entire store we went to the "potion" bar and got a custom soda for the kids to share. It was cool for the edible sparkles and the glowing ice cube inside the beverage. The price was a bit steep for how little you get ($6.50-16oz) but it is more about the experience I guess at that point too. Overall it was a cool and very unique store. I know we will be stopping in again next time we come to Peddlers Village. read more

I am writing this review as I stopped in today and felt I had to. The shop has a very magical feel and is full of fun Knick-knacks. I always find myself stopping in to browse. However the coffee leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a black iced coffee and one of the speciality coffees and I can honestly say I've never felt more let down with a coffee. The plain black iced coffee was closer to clear than it was to what you would expect from a black coffee. The taste was basically water. Very disappointing. The speciality drink essentially tasted like pure half and half and none of the fun flavors were apparent. I like this store as a shop for fun books and trinkets but as a coffee spot it really needs work in my opinion. read more

I wanted to update my review because I just went into their shop again recently. They added a lot more drinks to their menu and added cafe items as well! I appreciated that because I knew they could do such great things with the theme they're running with. I'm still a little disappointed with the lack of variety in the items they sell in the store. All Harry Potter lovers need to go here if you're in the area! Located in Peddlers Village, only a 10 minute drive away from New Hope, PA. We came during one of Peddlers Village's festivals, and it was absolutely packed. The shop itself is pretty small, selling a bunch of Harry Potter merchandise along with Hocus Pocus and a few other magic-related companions. They did sell wands in a similar setup to Ollivanders, but they didn't appear to be the officially licensed wands you can purchase. Drinks were absolutely delicious and still reasonably priced even though these themed stores tend to mark up their prices for the experiences. All the drinks I saw ranged from $4-6 it seems like. I tried the hot Zombies Sleigh Ride from their seasonal menu; mint, dark hot chocolate, and whipped cream. It was absolutely fantastic and hit the spot on a very cold winter night. Website says the store is open till 8pm. It was only 3 mins to 6p. The workers there were highly rude and not welcoming at all. We drove over an hour to experience the store. They literally kicked us out and no thank you for coming. It wasn't even a pleasant get out it was a rude yell to everyone that was in there. Set in peddler's Village this is a nice little shop running on the wave of magical children's stories and is just a touch schizophrenic in just the nicest way. Let me explain the shop caters to, as i said, the community interested in magical fantasy books but instead of tying themselves to just a particular series that might rise and fall they cover a lot so Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, D&D and more. Not just books but nick knacks, little gifts for that devotee in your life, even cook books and cocktail (potion?) books. This makes up about half the store. The other half, and this is the schizophrenic part is a coffee/chocolate shop with a bar with the various offerings behind them on a screen. The prices are good and the product wonderful. I had a dark hot chocolate with cherries, that was just the right temperature from the get go. The staff is friendly and give off the same fun/spooky vibe. My concerns are I'd like to see more books-hey I'm a book nerd it's my call. the narrow paths between shelves make for a fun/spooky setting but it seems like it could all too easily get jammed up and I think on a busy Saturday the crowds could be much with the potential for disaster-hot, dark drinks and books? could be a little overwhelming but that having been said it is more than worth a look and the 'bar' certainly worth a stop. read more

I was super excited to go here, but it was a complete tourist trap with low value, high priced things. There was not many good finds, and the prices were double, even triple what you can find for the same thing online. It is also a huge design flaw that the only checkout is at the cafe counter. Most of the baristas were ONLY taking potion orders and specified they were not checking out any merchandise, drinks only, and the line was wrapping all around the store. read more

I can't believe I'm about to write this but The Cloak and Wand is so much cooler than the Harry Potter store in NYC. It's a much smaller store in size but the decor, merch, and drinks from their "potions" bar were (in my opinion) waaay cooler. They have tons of cool Harry Potter merchandise. Even if you're not into Harry Potter, they have lots of fun "dark"themed items as well. It was so much fun to browse through this place. I can't wait to go back at a less crowded time of year (it was packed this weekend) and look around at a more leisurely pace. If you go, do not miss the drinks from the "Potions" bar! This is one of the coolest places I've ever been in my life. I mean where else outside of Orlando can you really get like an iced wizard beer?? Amazing! I CANNOT WAIT for winter to try the hot cocoa and have it be even more of a vibe! But it's not just Harry Potter merch. They've got witchy stuff, dungeons and dragons, even Beetlejuice themed things! I have to give 4 stars for the uniqueness alone. I've never seen anything like this, although I haven't gone looking either. Located in Peddler's Village (which is just lovely by the way), this shop specializes in all things magical and mythical. Walking through, there is a Harry Potter area, Dungeons and Dragons, Stranger Things, and Hocus Pocus areas. There is a section carved out focused on fairies and mermaids. Also, healing crystals, palmistry, tarot cards, and wands are for sale. You can also buy potion books. At the front is a coffee bar. I did not get anything but I looked at the menu and they described the drinks as different potions, which is kind of cool. I really have no need for anything here (plus the prices are high), but I definitely recommend walking through for a unique experience. read more

This place is amazing! So much detail went into every inch of this store. You can get Harry Potter, Stranger Things, hocus-pocus, Halloween and wands in the store! They have a lot of items from books to shirts to cups and candles. They have this awesome drink bar ( non-alcoholic) where you can order all sorts of drinks that are Harry Potter, witch themed and more. We got a Strangers Thing drink! This is a very cute little shop with lots of wizarding fun. Lots of little items to purchase for the Harry Potter nerd in your life. They had some fairly high-quality cloaks for a reasonable price. It was fun to walk through the store and see everything they had to offer, even my 2 year old enjoyed the parameter of the store that had some spooky/creepy things2-year-old. We did not get any drinks but the ones I saw being served looked like they were of a very high quality and customers were taking note. The prices were very reasonable considering the specialty nature of the shop. Usually, boutiques come with a hefty pricetag, but not here. In the end, I bought a few little Harry Potter pins as stocking stuffers. Hopefully, this place has staying power because we really enjoyed the shop. read more

The shop carries everything from Harry Potter merchandise (of course), to Stranger Things, Hocus-Pocus, Little Shop of Horrors, and witchy Halloween decor, games, plushies, stationary, clothing and more! They had a very creative and extensive beverage menu along with fun theming. I did find it slightly overwhelming to pick a drink, however. The customer service was horrible. I spent $16 on 3 small drinks and my kids hated the hot chocolate because it was bitter. I tasted it it wasn't good. Def not milk chocolate. I asked them if they had milk or sugar to sweeten it a bit and they didn't have any so I asked if they could do the white chocolate instead since they couldn't fix the drink I paid for. They said they couldn't do that so I was stuck with drinks that I had to throw out!! Never going back they need to retrain their staff to accommodate paying customers. read more
