Shout out to The Clock Man, Matt Fitch, and his outstanding customer service. In December I stopped by his shop to get an idea of several grandfather clocks I had in mind. He very patiently looked up each clock I had on my list and went over all the details of it from his catalog, telling me about the details, the quality, and how it compared to the others. The one I chose was on back order and I was told it would arrive mid January. When it finally came in, he called me up spur of the moment and said he could deliver it that day, which worked out perfectly. He not only delivered it, but set it up where I wanted, including attaching the weights, pendulum, setting the clock, and offering a complete demonstration. He took with him all the boxes and packing material and left me with a beautiful clock, wound and ready to enjoy. The next day I decided I didn't want it in the hallway but rather as a centerpiece for my LivingRoom. I called him up to see if it would be possible to schedule a return visit. He came out same day and moved it for me without even considering an additional charge for the trip. His prices are great - he offers 30% off MSRP or will match any regularly advertised prices from other clock stores. Our grand father clock stopped working so I looked for house call repair service. I called The Clock Man and got an appointment right away. Matt, the owner, fixed and serviced the clock for a reasonable price. He mentioned that he also does watch cleaning and repair.
