Went in to buy my daughter a birthday gift, and Kathryn came over and asked if she could help. I usually like to shop independently, but she had a charming personality. Well I have to give a great, big shout out to Tracey....who helped me stay within a budget and still find a beautiful ring for Christmas (Hubby was sweetly wanting to surprise me, but a tad afraid...LOL). Wow sadly I have just had the worst experience of any jeweler in bend! First off they sold me a gold necklace with a bent clasp, I brought it back to have it repaired and they blamed me for "stretching it!" (Not sure how someone would even do that!!) I tried explaining it had come that way and I had only worn it once and noticed it was damaged. They begrudgingly repaired it after arguing with me about "how it happened". It took them less than a minute to repair so not sure why they were so adamant that I caused the damage when it was a such a simple repair. To top it off The staff are very rude! They are extreme "mask police" here as well, they wear their masks below their noses but will harass and follow you around and refuse service to you if yours falls below your nose! I will never spend another dollar here!! read more

I have been to this store a few times. The customer service is severely lacking and staff seems disorganized. I was hoping that when I returned it would have improved but it seems to have gotten worse. The management and owners do not seem to care about quality service or the staff they hire and seemingly train. With the prices they charge, I would recommend visiting another store. I went in just before Christmas to purchase a Ring for my partner and ended up leaving. I decided to go in again last weekend and I was treated almost worse. They had a sales person in there over the summer who was so vibrant and helpful. I am sorry for this store she is no longer there. She helped me purchase two beautiful Jamie Joseph rings. read more

I went in jewelry shopping with friends one time and collectively we did some damage so they offered champagne! Having purchased from here for many years, again today I went in search of a birthday present for my stepmom. Not only was I helped immediately from entry into the store, I did not feel pestered. I was given my time to view everything and ask questions, and then after pulling out and setting aside several options I narrowed it down. I have yet to leave this store empty handed. I truly must boast about one specific employee - Maureen. She was personable, very willing to help and knowledgeable of when to give some time to think. Most importantly, when it comes to spendy purchases I truly appreciate when the store employees give their opinion. My fiance' and I visited the Bend store a few months ago, looking for simple stacking rings in place of a traditional wedding band. The staff at Silverado were quick to give us a warm welcome and were very attentive throughout our visit. We ordered two stacking rings (handmade in Chicago) in one of two sizes that were recommended, and returned to Bend to pick up the rings a short time later. They were exactly what I wanted, but once I returned home I felt that I should have gone with the other size. Though the last thing I wanted was to cause a hassle, I was promptly made to feel that my hesitation about the sizing was valid. The staff at Silverado went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and timely solution. I expected to pay resizing and shipping fees but was never asked to do so. They promptly reordered my rings in the other size despite the small size difference and have been nothing but helpful since. The new rings were recently overnighted to my home in a lovely and carefully packaged box, saving me the drive to Bend. I'm impressed with each individual I've dealt with at Silverado, every step of the way. I love supporting small businesses, especially those with such a high level of concern for their customers. The staff is super helpful too - I recently went in for a pair of every day silver hoops and left with a pair I would have never considered but absolutely love! Upon entering the store the atmosphere feels pleasing and merchandise looks decent, for the most part. However, once fully inside something felt uncomfortable about this place. For one the music is a little too loud. Also, the service is on the pushy side and doesn't put you at ease. In addition, the layout is cumbersome to navigate and after 20 mins I just felt tired. I was really hoping to find a nice gift at this place-it was recommended by a friend. I am not sure I would visit this shop again. It feels outdated. Maybe if they drop the noise level a little and work on a more genuine sales approach it will be a better place to shop in the future. After all, some of the product is definitely worth checking out. The staff is friendly and informative without being overly obtrusive. It's clear they're not on commission, as when you say you're just looking they let you look, but if you have any questions there's always someone there with lots of information. I love the jewelry here, and I love that my husband feels comfortable shopping here. (On Valentine's Day, they were offering free drinks to shoppers!) There's a wide variety of styles, so it's worth your time to browse slowly. I have noticed an increase in prices (particularly in their counter jewelry, which used to be quite affordable). It's hard to find anything under $50 - even the sort of run of the mill kiddy looking stud earrings. What a great shopping experience! A friend and I stopped to pick up some jewelry for a souvenir on a quick vacation in Bend, and we ended up spending almost an hour, picking out different earrings and exploring the beautiful items they had available. The staff was accommodating and patient with our decision-making process, and they made sure we had access to some additional items that hadn't been moved onto the floor that we were interested in. Because we were purchasing specifically from local artists, the salesperson who assisted us made sure we got the bios for each of the artists whose work we bought, which made it very special. Prices were reasonable, and there is a huge range of prices, from as low as about $12.00 to several hundred, depending on what you're looking for. The store is set up with plenty of room to accommodate lots of shoppers without everyone bumping into each other. We had a wonderful time shopping here. I have several different pieces from different artists and am constantly stopped by strangers asking about them. The staff has incredible knowledge about stones, metals and designers. Every time I walk into Silverado I am greeted by beautiful (both inside and out) staff who remember my name, what I like, what I might want to see.
