My coat was stolen just before I arrived in Breck and I did not have it to buy another brand new jacket. There are many many clothing stores along Main Street in Breckinridge, but of course there is a nice $$$ price tag. My boyfriend saw this store and I was able to buy a good warm winter jacket for our trip without breaking the bank. It's also pretty neat that the proceeds go to help out a local animal rescue group. When I visited in December There were many coats, ski outfits, warm scarves, etc, both male and female. Everything was very gently used. If you need some extra warm clothes on the cheap I would definitely recommend checking out this thrift store.

I honestly haven't made any of the fondue recipes but reading it was helpful to learn some unusual Spanish culinary vocabulary. You can also find some cool kitchen items here like serving trays, special flatware, etc. If you're really looking for bargains, I would check elsewhere (it's Breck prices even for a thrift shop), but it is always fun to browse and you too many find a rare treasure like a fondue cookbook in Spanish!

The person working the cash register looked it up and said it would be $51. 3 minutes later, I found the EXACT same shawl in a small which had a price tag of 41.50 (the first one was a medium). We asked him to honor the price, and he said "nope, mediums probably cost more because, you know extra fabric." Okay, first of all, that's not how clothes work. But to humor him my friend tried on the small and it fit, and we asked to get that one. "Nope (again) all sales are final (he and not told us that). You can't exchange it, for the exact same item for the correct price. You CAN go buy something else for the price difference (not easy to do), so she bought a bracelet and paid more. Such a contrast to the experience I'm accustomed to shopping on Frisco Main Street. NOT a good reflection on our town at all. I will never bring a guest there again. I can't wait to wear it! The owner was super helpful and not pushy at all. We talked about different clothing fabrics and how she tries to find good cottons, linens, etc. I have become more focused on fabrics that are better for you to wear such as cotton, wool, linen and this store is what I am looking for! So we asked if that was sale price, Tara said "yes". So we bought it, thinking that we were getting a good deal. Once we get home and my mother takes the price tag off her necklace and finds there is a $49 tag underneath the $59 tag. I wouldn't go there... definitely a scam! Not cool!!!
