The worst experience of my life! The greatest feeling of injustice in the world! A white Canadian man hit my stopped car; I am a brown-skinned immigrant woman. The insurance company says I am 100% at fault. I was in front of my 5-year-old son's school, taking him out of his car seat, and my other son, who is 3 years old, was in his other car seat. The school bus driver hit my car door, he didn't see what was happening, people started yelling for him to stop because my door was stuck to the bus and my child and I were trapped in the middle. When we were filling out the documents, he asked for my help, saying: I'm a little blind. Everyone around saw it; we have several witnesses. I did absolutely nothing wrong. But the insurance company that's supposed to be on my side, the insurance company that receives my money every month, says that the person who clearly shouldn't have been carrying children on a bus is innocent. I've been trying to reach The Co-operators for a quote ever since I got my new car, especially since my company has a corporate deal with them. Unfortunately, despite countless calls, no one ever answers. Calls are either redirected or simply ignored. After hours of trying over several days, I finally went to their office in person, only to be told by the front desk that they cannot assist me in person due to directives from higher management. It's extremely frustrating to have a car but not be able to secure insurance because the customer service is completely unresponsive. Even now, I'm still unable to get through. This experience feels like a deliberate attempt to avoid issuing quotes--especially during a time when Alberta is experiencing hailstorms and a high rate of accidents. What are people like me supposed to do? Wait indefinitely or settle for third-party insurance at over $400/month from brokers? If you advertise customer service, then please provide it. I called co operators Alberta to get a quote for my new car. The lady I spoke on the line from co operators spoke as if I am a criminal since I gave her 2 confused answers since I did not catch up her question since there was a disturbance of my baby in the background . she could have asked me to explain or given me a minute to explain. she did not let me speak and was very very rude. Really worst experience of my life. I will never ever go to co operators again, regret taking home insurance and medical insurance for my visiting parents there for the last 2 years but not made any claim. they did not even considered those things. Used to be a great insurance company (Oakridge). They all retired last year, but failed to inform their long tenured clientele. So it goes... I had my catalytic converter cut out from my car on a Saturday in front of my office (6020-1A street), by Chinook. This is when the pain starts. I tried calling the Oakridge cooperators office -- they didn't pick up and pushed me to a 1-877 call number in Toronto. This was my first hint I was in for a nightmare. 45 minutes looping around - no one picks up. I take my car into Lexus immediately (I'm in sales and work out of my vehicle), leave them with the keys. Have to have my Dad come down and borrow his car. Call cooperators again, get in the phone death loop. Leave a message. Go to work all weekend. Monday morning -- call into cooperators (Toronto). Start to realize Oakridge has been swallowed up by mother ship and there is no one at the helm whatsoever. Finally get someone on the phone and ask them why no one picks up the phone -- they assure me there are hundreds of call operators on the floor (Toronto). They patch me through to one -- turn out she is 'working' from home babysitting her granddaughter. Several times she has to put the phone down and take care of the baby - whatever. Takes 45 minutes but she files my claim. After several attempts all weekend and getting caught in several phone loops -- I present my already paid receipt from Lexus. Zero help and no rental car. An uphill battle all weekend to get help. Total nightmare. I moved all my insurance to a different local company with a great reputation for service. The end read more

the agents that you speak to are very bad and if you want to solve the problem they will say it's not in our hands they they put us in another person or they will end the call in your face and if they put you n hold for another person you will have to start from they very begging. our time was done for insurance and we asked what was the last day for insurance and they told us then they took $188 apparently that was the last month with them when the insurance was done that month we called to tell them we don't want to stay with your guys company they asked if we want to cancel with there company and they said ok there is no problem they said there was a cancellation fee for $40 and we said ok no problem multiples time we asked will there be any more last payments they said no. the next day I was checking my account and I saw they took $188 when they said NO OTHER PAYMENTs!! and now for the upcoming month they will be taking $40 and in total they scamed us for $230 and I didn't even have the car. How seamless it is to deal with cooperators. I made arrangements at work to my house insurance moved onto a monthly debit plan, as well as cancelling another policy for a property I no longer own. Cooperators requried a signature from me, and I was naturally concerned, because this means time off work, to drive from Downtown to Riverbend, get teh paperwork done and back. Short story, I was in and out of there in under 5 minutes! Everything was prepared and they were ready. I literally walked in, signed the papers and walked out.
