I only came across the West Hartford Art League by chance through an event posting, and I have been an avid follower and supporter since. WHAL offers great classes for youth and adults, for beginners and experts. There are also lots of awesome showcases of locals' work - including some of my own photos once or twice - of different media. They always have a nice opening reception - often with free food and drink - which is a really nice touch and a way to meet others. Separately, I have also come here for a few mostly food events, like the CT Eats Out supper club inaugural event. There's really something for everyone here, and I am thankful to have found out about WHAL. Consider yourself now informed!

I really enjoyed getting the chance to view some local art by some really talented folks! Now that this location is on my radar, I am going to be checking in so see what other events they host. I heard that they also have done photography showings in the past. The venue itself is a tad tough to find just going by google maps, but once you realize where it is, parking is super easy. It's small but cozy, well laid-out, and adorable. I found the atmosphere for the event dinner to be extremely charming, and the staff were amazing. I'll be back, WeHa Art League. I am a grandparent a child that goes to intensive education academy. I meet many parents at the…read morefamily nights which iea hosts at least once a month. And almost all of us indicate that iea has actually saved are disabled children. I e a is one of the few if not the only schools in which a child can get and Orton Gillingham reading education and also a life skills class. It is absolutely amazing to see the things that the life skills class and Mrs berube do for the children. They bring them on community trips, they run a coffee shack three times a week, they bake for events, and the kids there learn that community is most important. I would recommend looking at iea for anyone who needs both intensive reading education and life skills. But those are not the only things they offer they offer education children. There is music education, art education, physical education and health along with clubs that support children's interests. Intensive education academy is truly amazing. .

Back-to-School Fun at CORTIVA Institute!…read more Today I brought my kids to the CORTIVA Institute Massage Therapy School for their annual Back-to-School event, and what an amazing experience! They were offering FREE services for the kids and families, including hair styling, braiding, barber services, nails, massages, face painting, mini facials, and more! ‍‍ I absolutely love seeing organizations in our community come together to help families get ready for the new school year. And the best part is that they do this every year! My kids got their hair cuts and left feeling fresh and ready for back to school! Thank you, CORTIVA Institute, and everyone who volunteered their time and talents to make this event possible. Community support like this means so much!

This school is great. I was able to send my daughter for kindergarten and the entire experience was…read morefantastic. The teachers were great and the administrative personnel were great as well. The entire place seemed to genuinely care about the well being of my child. They have church service 1x a week, and say prayers daily (and The Pledge). My family is not catholic but that was okay. Instruction included music and gym. We had trouble affording the uniform and they allowed us to use used ones until we could buy them. Tuition can be made in payments. And the lunches are varied which is nice. While my child was in Kindergarten, I saw the older kids in the hallway. They were all so respectful. Overall, a very positive experience. If I HAD to come up with a negative, I would elect for gym class more often, and add foreign language instruction at the lower 'grades'

Jim knew I was going to need to rent a snare drum kit for him but I was unsure of it so I left without it . he jokingly said see you tomorrow. well guess what he was right! I went back today to get the snare drum kit that my son conveniently forgot to tell me I needed . Jim set me up with everything I needed we had a quick laugh and I was on my way .
