She's now done solos in her school talent show and had principal roles in musical theatre shows. These camps are perfect for beginners who show an interest in music and want to give it a try. It's a full week of fun and some instruction, plus exposure to what it takes to get up on stage and perform with with band. A child who wants to play an instrument or sing should definitely experience this. It's an encouraging, energetic environment. Make sure you plan to attend the performance at the end of the week because it's a big deal to the kids. And get there early to get a seat because both years my daughter did the camp, it ended up being standing room only.

The room is spacious with good mirror placement. Great lighting and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Benton Park studio is small, but very pretty. The mirrors are gorgeous but they are a bunch of actual house mirrors put together as opposed to a fitness studio full length mirror so it's a little more difficult to see your reflection. Great lighting though. Classes are casual but informative. Good attention paid to students of varying levels. I prefer a slightly more formal structure, but it's friendly. I hope they can open a larger studio closer to the city!

Wrong. There were two simultaneous pasta classes going. Our group seemed to have no clear direction. There were two pasta rollers and each kept malfunctioning with the handles falling off. It was at this point one couple left. It only went downhill from there. My sister kept saying we should just leave but I wanted to learn how to make pasta! And I paid a lot for this class so i was going to learn! But I did not. The revolt began and people just began cooking on their own (which in the end turned out quite well!!) just so we could eat at some point. We could hear the other class drinking wine and sitting down to eat, and our lasagna wasn't even in the oven yet. Another ominous sign. Our chef was very kind but it was clear he was not ready for this. It was my second and last visit to the KC, I walked away with no additional skills.
