Lots of lifeguards around. There are also pickle ball courts, a playground and bathrooms across the parking lot. The part I didn't love was the women's bathrooms/shower room. They were old and kind of gross. The lockers themselves are outside the bathrooms and are on the small size- bring your own lock! Also there is no outside food or drinks allowed. (Nobody hassled me about my water bottle for class, but technically the center was mostly closed at that point.) I think this would be really fun for families.

I went several times with a twelve year old and a fifteen year old and we all had so much fun. It fills up quickly on nice days so don't wait until you feel it's prime time to go to the pool, you will not get the best seats in the house and the place kind of crowds up quickly. From the pool to the swinging rope to the little snack bar, you will have a great time and won't be disappointed I'm sure. Oh, and can you say Doggie Dive In?? Don't forget to bring your four legged friend the day/weekend after labor day. Our pups always have a fantastic time!

The lazy river is great and the lap lanes in the indoor pool are nice (but few), except when they run the wave pool every 20 minutes... Then it's a fight for your life to get out before being bashed by people riding the waves in the provided pool tubes. Seriously. ;) For corporate events and family gatherings, the meeting room spaces are bright and well maintained and very affordable to rent. (They also participate in Silver Sneakers, if you have Medicare.) I really like the large indoor pool and enjoy the water classes. Of note, you do NOT automatically get access to the North Pointe Aquatic Center in Ballwin when you joint The Pointe at Ballwin Commons - there is a separate membership for the outdoor aquatic center. This is definitely a family-centered gym. There are tons of kids around. They are doing some renovations/upgrades of different areas at the time of this review. Currently, the interiors are a bit dull, not fancy like some other gyms. They have large basketball courts and pickleball open play times (no charge). There are swim lessons, open swim times and water walking in the lazy river (check the schedule so you aren't disappointed). There are also a ton of classes and programs with additional charges. There is a childcare area. The weight lifting areas and upstairs indoor track are kind of awkward in design, and not huge but you can get a workout in. The outside is nice. There are large free parking lots and a cute playground for children with picnic tables.

It's not too crowded so I've never had to wait for a machine. There's a track upstairs if you want to walk or run. Checking in at the front desk is easy; you just scan your keychain and head in. I do wish there was more space to do your own HIIT, bodyweight workouts, and stretching. You can use the classroom if there's not a class going on, but it would be nice if there was a room open all the time.
