We were warmly welcomed by a hostess this morning who explained how all of the meats and veggies…read moreand the eggs are all produced by their local farm that is 15 miles from here and the bread is all homemade here too. And the coffee is also roasted locally. So yeah, this was a pretty neat stop in very rural Missouri as we're headed across on US-60 from the one side to the next. After seated, we took a look at the menu. Options for both of us were easy. Mrs. K. is a connoisseur of French Toast. As she doesn't eat meat, this is her usual "go to" for breakfast so that was her easy choice at The Ranch House this morning. Me, I'm on keto so I was able to have their three-egg omelet with all the veggies plus added steak sausage. Coffee arrived first and it was excellent. Just a simple drop, it was rich and hot and perfection. A little bit later, breakfast arrived. I very much enjoyed the omelet as it was tasty. I could really taste the eggs in here today. Yum! Mrs. K. said "This is the best French Toast that I have ever had" and that's really saying something as she's enjoyed dozens if not a couple hundred portions across my Yelp career. Wow. Breakfast was around $40 with tip. And afterward, we wandered around the small town of Van Buren for a bit. A truly lovely stop. [Review 669 of 2026 - 523 in Missouri - 25850 overall]

Not many choices for breakfast in Van Buren but this is a good choice. Hostess was very friendly…read moreand seated our group quickly. Service was good but a little slow. Beef bacon was a little disappointing (way overcooked) and the biscuits and gravy didn't seem particularly 'homemade.' The coffee however was GREAT! There was also a gift shop so it made it a nice decor. Overall a pretty good experience.

During my stay in Mountain Grove this past summer, I was lucky enough to hear about Ozark Mountain…read moreCreamery and to visit their facility, because as someone who is a little lactose intolerant (only to milk), I was actually able to drink their milk. And apparently, that's something they hear pretty often from customers. They have some pretty interesting flavors such as Orange Cream, Eggnog, Strawberry, Root Beer Float, as well as the more typical ones such as Chocolate, Whole & Creamline, 2%, and Skim. I've only had their chocolate milk, and it's delicious! Rich and creamy and it comes in these awesome glass bottles, not those plastic milk cartons! When you buy their milk from the store, you just pay a bottle deposit, which you get back when you return the bottle. I only wish they delivered as far as Colorado :(

I bought my first bottle of OMC milk recently and am a huge fan of the freshness and overall taste of it. I use the pink top or the cream line as it is labeled. I was using powdered creamer in my coffee but have switched to this instead. This milk does not have any chance of expiring in my fridge. By the glass full or on my cereal or in my coffee; it tastes rich and creamy. It also does not have that blue look to it like the stuff in those plastic jugs. I like it and when Officer Lynch likes something, it stays liked.
