It is is a new, rennovated building whose facade looks pristine. The building is well sign-posted and has fron windows which are respectufully decorated with wreath style boquets which have dark flowers in them. I find this is a suitable ornament to mark the type of business. They also have urn-like cases on display which shows the type of product available. The building is very clean on the inside and out. The front door is a little small and stiff but there is a level surface which means disabled access is good. Inside there is a front desk which is manned by a pleasant secretary. I find the staff to be dignified and polite. They will see to you immediately on entry. The firm has binders and catalogues which can help to show what kind of funeral can be arranged and what services and products are available. These vary in price and there is a wide range which will satisfy most people's choices. There are limited parking spaces (three or four at most) directly infront of the building but the best place to park is behind in the free car park. There are then alleyways leading onto the front street from here.

A friend of mine recently used this firm and was very pleased with the way the funeral was handled,every care was taken and every detail was catered for and it was done with dignity.They thought the cost was comparible to other firms who did'nt give them the options they got with Go As You Please.

A great little shop that has just relocated recently just off the main shopping street. The shop offers a wide range of items from healing crystals to dream catchers etc to a range of gothic type items. There is also a spiritualist reader that comes to the shop that you can visit for readings, always a bit sceptical myself but great for anyone that believes in this.

I am a charity shop fiend - so much so that I just can't walk past one without having a rummage…read morethrough! Mind is a cause that I think is particularly worthy of my support as they campaign on behalf of those with mental illness. Often these people are unable to campaign for themselves and would not have a voice if it were not due to the hard work of charities such as Mind. Most Mind stores are run by volunteers, who are always very friendly. I have found many-a bargain over the years and have had compliments about loads of things that I have found in charity shops like Mind. What I find particularly funny is when some of my friends who would never dream of entering a charity shop, pay me a compliment on something I've bought from Mind. They are so shocked! I have found loads of good quality designer clothes and they're often a fraction of the shop prices - £2-3 for a good quality jumper, and around £5 for a nice coat is what I tend to pay. The bags and other accessories are often of high quality too. Like most charity shops you have to weed through the tat to find the goodies but I find this to be part of the pleasure of charity shop shopping! :D

The MIND shops sell goods donated by members of the public, the only bought stock is greetings and Christmas cards. The Newcastle MIND shop has a range of clothes, books, household items, bric-a-brac, shoes and accessories. This shop has a paid manager but the rest of the staff are volunteers, often people who have first hand experience of mental health issues. This is a difficult area for a charity since there is still some stigma attached to the area of mental health. The shop is usually quite tidy and offers a good range of stock. Prices can vary oddly with items from Primark priced in a similar way to designer goods. The bric-a-brac is a little overpriced but there are sometimes bargains to be had. The book section is a little messy and again prices can be a little higher than some other charity shops. However, you can often find books which would be quite hard to get hold of now (I mean 70's cookbooks rather than rare first editions!) Worth a look and your money supports a good cause.
