One example of how the school became a part of her daily life, is she looked forward to fun and easy projects.

I don't know where to begin without getting quite emotional as I write this, but Cole Academy downtown became a huge part of our daily lives and has been a resilient support system for us this past couple of years. With all the uncertainty of Covid-19 the school has gone above and beyond in making us feel at ease. When my daughter joined Cole she was only 2 and was not fully potty trained but within just two months she became quite independent. Thanks to Ms. Alicia. As she moved on to Pre-K her teacher Ms. Mele and everyone are very nurturing to the children. I honestly felt a good sense of security for my child when I walk in their doors. As my daughter move on to kindergarten, I know it's not going to be easy so if you are a parent searching for a daycare or Pre-K, look no further. Cole not only has given us a sense of security but they had a profound interest of my child's overall well being. She left being extremely smart, respectful and confident in all aspects of her toddlerhood. Thank you Cole Academy for giving us this amazing journey!

Right when you get to the 4th floor it is very easy to find your way to the test center, there are signage right by the elevators that will direct you to where you need to go! They provide lockers to place all your belongings and will provide scratch paper and pencils to use. Parking is expensive and is cash only!!! Keep in mind the building is called Pauahi tower and is surrounded by a lot of eateries!

While the location in downtown Honolulu is less than ideal to try and navigate, I definitely recommend locating the center beforehand. I stopped by and the women at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful, they will also call you the day before your exam with all this information as well. I mainly writing this review to help others in locating this testing center easier. The center will email directions to the parking structure on Alakea St. (see photos) I was fortunate enough got dropped off which I would recommend if you have longer test (the center does not offer parking validation). The center is located in the Pauahi building, upon entering take the escalator/stairs up to the main lobby level. Make sure you locate the correct set of elevators that will take you to floor 4, the elevators towards the back service the lower floors while they other set closest to the escalators services the upper floor levels, they are marked so just be sure to read the signage posted on the walls. Other than that it's not hard to find from there! As for the actual testing experience itself, I found the testing room pleasant and enjoyed the big windows that allowed natural light in, although some may find this distracting. However you can hear the occasional siren and sounds of the street traffic, outside below but they do offer earplugs and noise cancelling headphones which I found to do the trick. Bathrooms are located on the same floor just past the elevators and down the opposite hall, it is not far and they were very clean. The lockers use a traditional key lock and would fit a standard backpack if need be. Overall it was a good experience. Wishing everyone good luck on their future exams here!

The stem center has computers available for student use at each of the tables, as well as a small collection of science and math literature, some of which is the same material used in the courses used at KCC. PEER MENTORS: Many of the peer mentors at KCC have already taken the courses they tutor in, and are very knowledgeable in the subject matters. Aside from having an extensive knowledge in their subject, many of them are majoring in the area they are tutoring, so they not only teach at the level required for the basic KCC student but also have done further research in upper level courses. The money I paid bought me: the in person classes, prep books and their online website. I was just notified today (2/2/2018) via phone and via email a few days ago (1/31/18) about the cancellation of our lecture class. The explanation for the cancellation was: "low enrollment". What does that have to do with me and the money I paid? I have absolutely no idea! The only 2 options they're offering me now is: 1) an online class, which I cannot attend because of the time difference. The classes are Eastern Time based And it starts in the middle of the day... unfortunately, I have to work! 2) a Self Pace option. Which means I'm responsible for my own learning and that I will not have an actual instructor to help me... unless I pay them MORE money for private tutors ofcourse! The unenthusiastic representative (Jasmine) I've been talking to at Kaplans main office pretty much said "oh well, that's all we can offer you at this time". In other words, I just got swindled out of my money... I pretty much paid $2774 for a bunch of books that I could've borrowed from the library or paid $75 for on Craigslist!!!

Although my instructor Jeremy was awesome and having access to a database of 5000+ real questions was helpful, Kaplan is not for everyone and it was definitely NOT for me. First, you're in a big classroom of people with varying levels of intellect. Second, you're expected to adopt Kaplan methods--exhaustive strategies to problem-solving that you may neither like nor need. Third, if you don't put in the initiative, your score won't improve--even if you have a genius instructor who scored a 180 with one arm tied behind his back. The difference in scores from my diagnostic test and the real LSAT was 9 points--a small gain that I think was more of my doing than Kaplan's. I'm almost certain I got into the law school I'm going to (NOT Stanford) because of other factors. If I could redo last summer, I would've bought the course material for $300 and bypassed the course altogether. That would've saved me some money for the expensive, pocket-vacuuming beast that is law school.
