What makes this place stand out for me is the really great coffee and service, the staff are friendly and diligent about clearing your table, you barely notice it, next minute that empty TI Tonic bottle is gone. Urban is great for singles, groups and anything in between. They also have an umbrella stand which is great during the winter months, not every cafe has one of those.

There is also a wide range of teas and non-alcoholic beverages. After much deliberation, we went for a pitcher of Aperol Spritz ($35) - Prosecco, Aperol, fresh peach, citrus, grapefruit bitters, herbs. It arrived pretty as a picture, with flower/herb garnishes in the glasses as well as the pitchers. I guess they've just opened so have some teething issues - the food took FOREVER - it was a mid week lunch time and considering all the meatballs and sauces are already prepared I don't get why it should take so long. The corn was so delicious in its flavoured butter and the subs were wicked, perfect bernaise and tomato sauce and really herby meatballs encased in a really soft sesame seed bun. We also shared the meatballs paired with spagehetti and sauce but done this way its super expensive, 3 x meatballs for $12 then $3 for each sauce you want and $4 for a carb side (Spag, mash, polenta etc) so for a tiny tiny dish its minimum $19 - they really need to look at this. I thought the list was pretty reasonable in both price and variety although I do think they could do with a few more boutique beers on the list as opposed to the usual mass produced varieties. The boys on the other hand were nursing rather significant hangovers and were in need of a drink of the non-alcoholic variety. ASAP. They ended up settling on a Sweet Alice; a strong cup of Kokako filtered coffee with condensed milk on the side. Heaping the rather generous serving of condensed milk into their coffee both of them seemed pretty chuffed with their decision. Based on my experience you can request variations to menu items to fit your dietary requirements. I was impressed with my salad which not only looked good but tasted amazing. Greens with thin sliced mango, cherry tomatoes, micro greens and walnuts with a vinaigrette. Friendly staff, good surroundings, indoor and outdoor seating options and a decent menu.
