Absolutely loved my time here at the studio. The ladies were so sweet and pleasant. The ambience…read morewas very calm and relaxing. The hardest part is not only choosing the piece you want to paint but being able to only pick out 6 colors. Lol. All the colors are so pretty but the 6 was just enough. This is such a great place for all and any occasion. Group dates, solo dates, you name it. I truly enjoyed my time and will post the final look of my mug when I pick it up.

This was our first visit and we went with friends and was not told how expensive this activity would be and we didn't know until after we got there. Now I know to be prepared to pay $35-$70 per person depending on what item you choose at this business. My daughter and I selected one of the smallest pottery options (small turtle jewelry dish, small scooter planter) because they were already $29 per piece and on top was an $8 studio fee per person. We couldn't afford anything bigger. It turned into $74 after tax for two people to paint two small pieces. Our friends had been there in the past (they live not far from this location) and noticed the prices definitely went up and shocked how expensive it was. I don't know how the mom with three kids afforded this art activity out who were with us at the same time. Have not seen our finished product yet, hoping all will be okay when our pieces are ready for pickup. But the price structure they have in place was just awful. I've been to many paint your own pottery studios in the area and this business is easily double the price. I won't be a returning customer.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had walked into someone's home and were being scolded by a family member rather than welcomed as paying customers. The owner was rude, condescending, and argumentative--not just with me, but with several other parents in our group as well. The environment itself was chaotic. Her daughter and mother were present, and we had to listen to her repeatedly scold her daughter in front of customers, which was incredibly awkward. When a parent pointed out that the waiver did not say jeans were required, the owner insisted it did--until the waiver was shown to her. Only then did she admit she must have sent an outdated version. She even made the children feel bad by commenting on their clothing choices. Throughout our time there, the experience felt disorganized and unmonitored. The camera feed to the splash and smash rooms repeatedly turned off, and at one point, the owner left the building without telling anyone--leaving us to knock on doors to find out where she went. (A family member eventually told us she went on a pizza run.) The music kept cutting out, and when I tried to play something softly on my phone to fill the silence, she scolded me for it. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. When the pizza finally arrived, it was all pepperoni--no cheese option for the kids. I politely asked about it, and she loudly told everyone that I was the one who ordered it that way, adding that she was "shocked" because "most parents order cheese for kids." She also criticized me in front of guests for not ordering lemonade. I was never asked for my preferences in the first place, and the way she handled it was unprofessional and humiliating. Safety was another concern. The protective gear for the kids was inconsistent--some masks covered faces and necks properly, while others left large areas exposed. It did not feel like sufficient protection for children. Finally, when we decided to have the kids leave the smash room early for safety reasons, the owner told the children that she would have let them stay but "the moms made them come out." That kind of comment was totally inappropriate and undermined the parents in front of the kids. The overall experience was uncomfortable, chaotic, and poorly managed. Between the rude behavior, lack of professionalism, and questionable safety, I would never recommend this place--especially not for children's events. I deeply regret choosing Frustration Station for my daughter's birthday.

There were a few ladies working who were all super friendly. The only fabrics (barring I think two bolts of solid cotton knit and some utility type fabrics) are quilting cottons. There are many options, and a great assortment of indie patterns, quilting focused notions, interfacings, thread (mettler, the best brand imo), and an assortment of machines. I asked about service costs for my serger that hasn't been serviced since it was purchased nearly 25 years ago. I was quoted $165 which I think is pretty reasonable. I loved all the little finished projects (especially the cute flamingo bags!) and the nice workspace in the back. The store is super clean and feels new.

As a Native American, family means everything and I always feel welcomed at Scrap & Sew as soon as I walk in the store. I'll continue to shop and visit the store and I hope you will too.
