From surprise birthday bashes to formal baptism events they had it covered. We have felt extremely comfortable with their team being inside home without us being there while they did prep and set up with us away eg at the church baptism service.

Months down the line I reached out again to confirm small details and when they needed guest count by, which resulted in receiving a phone call from Patty Vesh. She told me that that employee I was originally working with no longer works there, there is new ownership. By the way Patty was speaking, it was very obvious that there was some kind of animosity going on with this change- which is incredibly unprofessional. As someone who works in hospitality and event planning myself, I know for a fact that anytime there is any management changes/company changes, your customers are NEVER supposed to notice. The service should be so incredible that we never even notice that wasn't who we were dealing with originally. This unfortunately was not the case, and Patty and her staff had everything to do with it. Moving forward, after we provided headcount, my fiance paid our remaining balance, accidentally over tipped because he did not realize it was included in the bill. So we reached out to Patty to explain and ask if it could be refunded as we don't mind tipping but we couldn't double tip. Patty ended up refunding both tips, even the 15% that was already in our contract, then called my fiance to tell him we never should have paid it, her employee was not supposed to charge that, and that would not be nearly enough for her staff. When I was told, I thought surely there was a miscommunication. As I was doing my research into our contracts before I called to clear it up myself, Patty emailed me as well and told me the same thing via email- please see screenshots. I asked for kids meals, included that in my guest count, they didn't bring them, and the staff was rude when our guests asked about it. The staff served themselves massive amounts of food AS THEY WERE MAKING THEIR OWN PLATES- and then denied my guests second servings. A bridesmaid literally overheard the staff say in spanish "we gotta give the guests less food" IN SPANISH- thinking nobody would hear/understand them. They had massive amounts of food packed away for themselves. If my guests ate everything they wanted and there was leftovers, I would have given them the extra food with no problem. It was the fact that they didn't even ask, and skimped my guests with themselves in mind. They were rude and greedy. I will tell everyone I know to save themselves the aggravation and avoid this place for any event, ESPECIALLY A WEDDING. The food was great, but they are not the only ones with good food. Please see screenshots below. The original email from May 8th was me confirming the small details & it was sent to the employee we originally were dealing with - which is when Patty called me. I also am including where I asked for kids meals that were not brought to the wedding. To continue to be fully transparent, I am adding in screenshots of apologies and offerings to make the situation right. Where we appreciate the apology, they did not ruin our day, but they could have so it's not accepted. Genuinely, I hope this never happens again but based on their insincere apologies and lack of accountability, I can almost guarantee it will. First of all, we live states away from where our wedding was so a dinner is not even possible for us, even it was it would never ever make up for the way these people acted on my wedding day. I also want to add that the more guests I speak with, the more terrible things I hear about how the staff treated them. It's disgusting honestly

We were greeted at the door and taken right away to our table. It was Wednesday night, so it wasn't very busy. Our waitress was super attentive and offered a lot of advice on the menu. We each had something different to try, and each of us enjoyed our meal immensely. Their cute shell shaped butter was delicious, I guess it was a brown sugar butter, which offered just the right sweet on top of their warm bread. Our table enjoyed Caesar salad and the beet salad, both of which did not disappoint. The salads were offered in a small or large portion. The French onion soup was a relatively small portion, but when paired with the salad, it was a perfect meal. I was told the burger was one of the best they'd ever had, and the Parmesan potatoes were delicious. Both the scallop risotto and filet tips were hits too. We all cleaned our plates. It is listed as fine dining, and their prices definitely cater to that. I would recommend maybe a little brighter lights, but overall it was very cozy inside.

The servers have all been warm and looming and have tried to make the night special. I love that. The new owners are doing a great job of keeping the original flavor of the restaurant, while also adding their own flair. My only concern is that the "green dip," they offer at the start of the meal was missing this last time. I understand it may or may not be brought back. I'll be honest, the Green Dip is 80% of the reason I go to Brix. It is so phenomenal that it pulls me back again and again. It that change is permanent, I'm not sure I'll be back as frequently. Bring back the Green Dip!!
