My boyfriend and his roommate thoroughly enjoy the selection of equipment, coral, and live fish they have here. They probably drive over at least twice a month to this location, and every so often make trades for store credit when they have fish that've outgrown their tanks or coral that's split. After we discovered Coral Corral, it became the only place we go-to for our saltwater aquarium needs. They offer a variety of fish, live rocks, invertebrates, and other supplies for your saltwater aquarium. They also sell water for your aquarium - it's already perfectly balanced, so you don't need to worry about adding salt - a real time-saver when you're moving or setting up a new aquarium. When I found that one of our new fish was being aggressive to the other fish and causing problems in the tank, they even let me return it and gave me a store credit (the hardest part was catching the troublemaker). If you're new to saltwater fish or considering a saltwater tank, the staff at Coral Corral are great resources - and have always given me unbiased advice (not pushing me to buy something, but letting me know what would be best). Great store lots of coral and clown fish and very helpful people. Definitely will be going here for more coral/fish when ready. Only issue is you can easily miss their store if you're not paying attention. Other than that definitely a recommendation and will be my go to store since they're only 15minutes away. Although the selection is great, the customer service is completely lacking. I was in there for 20 minutes and there were five store employees all standing around eating and talking to each other and not one even approached me or asked if I needed help or even said a word to me. These people know nothing about customer service and I would highly recommend finding a friendlier aquarium store with associates that that know how to make the customer feel valued. Little did they know I came in there willing to spend a couple hundred on corals but after the lack of service I would not even go in there again. Oh also, there was only maybe one other customer in the store so it's not like they were busy. read more

This is hands down the best place for coral in the bay. They have a pretty large selection of corals and the staff here is chill and knowable. Coral selection can vary depending on when they get a new shipments in. Their display tanks are top notch and that's where you will find the nicest coral they have to offer. Now my gripe with the corral is depending on stock the prices can vary wildly. If stock is low anything with good color is extremely over priced IMO. If you need a bunch of filler corals I highly recommend coming here. On the other hand if your looking for nice accent pieces... meh this probably isn't the place to go. You may find something in the display you like but the price will very quickly deter you. Just for reference an average color elegance down in the $300 bin is absolutely insane. I see them frequently for $80 - $100. In the end I do recommend shopping here over anywhere else in the area. It just comes down to what your look for and what your willing to spend. read more

This is my absolute favorite fish store. I'm not a super well-traveled fish store connoisseur, but I do like to stop by one whenever I can if I'm traveling. I come to Tampa twice a year for Thanksgiving and Christmas and ALWAYS will make the time for the 45 minute drive to Coral Corral. You walk in and are greeted by the most beautiful display tank you may ever see. It's several hundred gallons and stuffed with colorful acropora and marine life. Walk past that tank and to your right you see a wall stocked with everything you could need to get a tank started. About 2/3 of the warehouse is filled with coral, ranging from $5 frags to several hundred dollar colonies. The remainder of the store is filled with a large assortment of marine fish, all beautiful and healthy. The staff are also super nice and knowledgeable. Bottom line: if you're a reefer visiting the Tampa area, you need to make an effort to stop by. read more
