The signage towards customers is downright snarky and rude. That's why I am giving the lower rating. Very unfriendly customer service. Don't expect to be welcome either when you come in. If you're in the area, it's a very cool store to check out. They, unlike many other stores, are actually OPEN. There is a lot to look at too! Stop by and check the place out, but don't expect a warm welcome and be prepared for rude signs targeted toward customers.

While…read moresome of the more "touristy" items had tourist-y prices, the kids were interested in the games and toys which weee very reasonably priced. We purchased (among many other things) a stress-ball type toy that got a hole in it within the hour and the salesperson had no issue allowing us to exchange it. The air conditioning was blasting and the selection was vast. Will definitely make it a point to stop in next time I am in own.

Gem Thorpe is just a block past Muggles and on Race street that actually looks like a tiny alley. I was welcome to survey the multitudes of sparkly specimens without pressure. No hawking cameras, no shop keep up your back just pure positive energy and good vibes here! No doubt I missed a lot on my first visit as there are so many gemstones, crystals and jewelry items to see. As the weather is warming I know my day drives will lead me back to the mountains and inevitably back to Gem Thorpe.

The scents are mostly floral, baked goods or fruity. There is a selection of electric candle warmers which are pretty cool. It feels less dangerous than a burning candle with a flame. You plug in the electric warmer and put the small tart shaped wax on top. The warmer melts the wax. The person working there (owner?) was very friendly and helpful. After making our purchase, she seemed so appreciative of our business. It was actually our pleasure since my family spent a bit of time browsing and being excited over the different scents.

Consistent delays and lies in the office of promised dayes and calls. No calls since the order was purchased. Finally I gave up forst of Dec, yes, December. Tried calling, now closed during the week even though I was told in Oct that they would be open thru out the winter. Omission of details is still lying. I called my credit card to start the chargeback process, found another company to deliver. Ordered on a Monday, delivered on Thursday. But guess what, now suddenly Floods deivered their order. No calls, no communications. Again, something has changed. Please be aware and get everything in writing and be prepared for legal path if contract is not fullfilled. Horrible experience and will no longer do any business with this unprofessional company.
