We had a mix up of which school he would start Kindergarten with and unfortunately due to the transportation logistics he had to move (again) from Kids Country to KinderCare. While at Kids Country, Ezrah had a great time meeting new friends and exploring the classroom and playground. The mixed age group was interesting and gave him a diverse experience that he hadn't been exposed to before. In leaving this facility, there were tons of hugs and well wishes. A great experience mostly for starting up at a new childcare center.

I don't typically write long reviews and only after I wrote this did I realize how long it was. But as a Working parent with kids and I must use childcare. I hope this review helps someone else like me. We enrolled our first at Goddard Kent during COVID through the fluctuations that are life, they have remained a constant support and reliable resource for our family--it only made sense to enroll our daughter when she was born. It's hard to find people you trust with your kids. It's also hard to find people that are reliable. We have found both at Goddard. We have found teachers that genuinely love and care about our kids such as Ms. Marisol, Ms. Lakshmi, Ms. Dani, Ms. Erika, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Kalen, Ms. Veedy, Ms. Summer, Ms. Zulema, Ms. Summer, and Ms. Taraji, the list goes on. We have also really been impressed with the management, the owner Ms. Chelsea has a masters in early childhood development and she is incredibly passionate and invested in the work she is doing. The Director Ms. Jenn, I simply have no words--she is incredible. She shows up and gives 110% everyday. She truly recognizes, respects, and values the impact her work has on shaping this next generation of children. Ms. Dasha, is the brains behind the fun, She will help everyone and anyone, and our kids are obsessed with her. Ms. Jatinder is an invaluable resource supporting the teachers. Childcare is a difficult industry with lots of turnover. It's inevitable. But the thing about Goddard is that Because the owner and the management care, it means they hire teachers who also care. There's a reason why they call them teachers at Goddard And not babysitters. Note, check out Miss Erika in preschool 1 and her hand-painted poster of Pete The Cat-- or any other number of times I have witnessed the teachers that have gone above and beyond. For example, There was a friend that was particularly disruptive in one of our kids classrooms-- it was undeniably frustrating as a parent in the moment, However, in hindsight the way that management partnered with the child's parents in that situation with the support of the teacher To advocate for this kid to receive the resources he needed really showed me how much they care. That child was advocated for and supported. Along with all the other children in that classroom. That's my $.02.

It has become a home away from home for my children. Watching them excited to go to daycare everyday makes me so happy and allows me to go about my day peacefully, knowing they are well taken care of. The director, Miss Kelly is very involved and even teaches one of the classes herself. They have a great retention rate of all their teachers, which speaks volumes of the culture. Knowing that my children are being cared for by people who are happy to be there is a wonderful feeling. Even though they do not call themselves a Montessori school, the atmosphere i observe in the big room at pickup time is very much aligned with the Montessori philosophy, where children from different age groups work and play together on activities of their choice, with the teachers being present as "guides" whenever needed. This setup works very well, especially for children with siblings, where they can all enjoy a common play area with adult supervision. Any problems I have had have been immediately addressed by the director. Granted, they do not have all the bells and whistles such as cameras or constant daily updates that you would see at a more modern facility, but the warmth and genuine love that children receive here more than makes up for that. They even have a wonderful before and after school program and summer camp for older children, which also follows the Montessori philosophy, allowing children to choose what they would like to do (with some reasonable structure provided). 5 stars all the way for this gem in Federal Way!

The childcare operates 12 hours from 6 am-6 pm, which is impressive comparing it to other daycares. Five teachers have been around 15+ years, and the other two have been around for 5 & 9 years. They are all excellent at bonding with kids and making them feel comfortable. They are also excellent communicators and are continually keeping me informed with what is going on in the classes. The teachers are also well-versed in teaching the faith to kids. Everything is centered around faithfully teaching Christianity and the Bible, which was one of the most appealing factors to me. The facilities that the childcare uses are also state-of-the-art, and they provide many activities for kids to participate and play. The childcare is also not run by a corporation, which makes it feel more personal and caring. Overall, I highly recommend this childcare program for anyone that is looking for a safe and friendly environment!

Sharon Prendergast has an awful attitude and defended her staff. She even began to retaliate against myself and daughter for me reporting them to cps.
