I found out when they called me to tell me he hit a teacher. After they put my kid on the phone he tells me a teacher picked him up and his arm hurt. He hit him to try to get him to put him down. I took him to urgent care and found out it was broken. It had been broken for hours and they had no clue.

And, the playgrounds give them lots of freedom to play and explore. I am so thankful for evergreen montessori and for the faculty. ECM uses traditional Montessori methods where everything is hands-on and the students are given the freedom to choose which work that interest them with the teachers' guidance. They note down what the students work on each day and keep track on their progress throughout the year. My daughter is now reading at between 2nd and 3rd grade level while doing double digit additions/subtractions, and have started learning multiplication at 5 years old. Her maturity level has also blossomed since they have multiple ages in a classroom, I have observed her helping the younger students. I highly recommend Evergreen Christian Montessori if you are looking for a high quality montessori preschool for your child!

We just pulled our daughter out of there because they aren't even pretending to apply a curriculum for pre-k. They're babysitters, now, and not even very good ones at that. Most recently, we found soiled clothing stuffed into her backpack with her other clothing, sheet, and blanket. Not in a bag, just right into her backpack which now is soaked with urine. My four-year-old doesn't often have accidents, but good lord, what lazy, thoughtless person thought this was ok? During the pandemic, staff was supposed to be masked. Almost daily, either on dropoff or pickup, there were staff seen in classrooms or in the office (the part parents and kids walk though) either completely without a mask or the mask pulled down. Every time I brought it up, I was told that they'd "mention it in a staff meeting" or confirm that yes, it is their policy for staff to mask up. Regardless of your views on masking, the fact that they just didn't enforce their own policies that are supposed to be in place for safety, is unacceptable. The owner, Tom, also spread misinformation during the pandemic regarding masks and other preventive measures via signage posted at the center and at the summer camp location. This place started going down hill quickly when the director (a couple of directors ago, I think) left. Andrea was the last good one, but it was clear that she was being hamstrung from actually doing anything good there. I know it's tough finding a child care center these days, but please, if you have the option, look elsewhere. I'm sure there are other places just as bad or worse, but I no longer trust this place to keep my child safe and certainly not to prepare her for kindergarten. The dozen or teachers who have cycled through that room in the past few months have been uninterested in getting to know the kids, have completely ignored kids who clearly needed attention, were downright mean to kids (witnessed during dropoff on numerous occasions). If you can help it, please trust your children to another center. Also, the five star review that this is updating was written with the promise of a starbucks giftcard. I'm not sure how many other positive reviews are genuine.

Since starting here, I've watched her grow so much socially, emotionally, and academically. She has learned so many skills, gained confidence, and really come into her own in ways I hadn't seen before. The staff and teachers have helped bring out such a beautiful side of her, and I'm beyond grateful for that. Her teachers are absolutely amazing and genuinely feel like family to us. They've supported not only my daughter, but me as a mother as well. They watched me go from pregnancy to welcoming my son, and throughout it all they've always shown love, care, and support. They truly go above and beyond for their families, and that level of compassion and community support is something you don't find everywhere. This school is truly a wraparound support system, not just a place for education. They care deeply about their students and families, and it shows in everything they do. I'm incredibly thankful to have found them, and I can't wait for my son to start attending this fall as well.

The person leading that session mentioned if you contact a couple times to check-in for status, your wait time might drop as spots open up. Initially, I was informed we had a 2 yr wait, and then we were admitted after 12 months (I emailed twice - once in February and once in May). Part of the wait is if you have a specific location. I think emailing to check helped clarify what locations were acceptable for us. Communications were good, particularly in the younger class, which had more notes. I felt like I could talk to my daughter's teachers and the director if I had any questions. My kiddo loved NTMC. She had a couple teachers in her toddler class, and a couple teachers in the large preschool class (3-4 teachers at any given time). Teachers cared about all the kids and they had fun. The director of the location switched 3-4 times and my kids teachers changed a few times. It is run as a business, but I'm ok with that. I have heard of other peoples experiences that are not similar to ours - like not having class staffing for a few weeks, or that it's not Montessori enough. I just never personally experienced those things. My kid loved teachers Makhayla, Rhonda, Kristin, Gaby, and Yenny. She told me yesterday she missed Teacher Rhonda! I thought it was reasonably secure and the schedule was age appropriate. Potty training was easy with help from NTMC. We switched to another preschool to have more structured education and try to get into a school so we wouldn't have to apply at K.

They are always super on top of diaper changes and feeding and naps, we get updates throughout the day and I never have to worry about my son while he's there. They are also great about doing lots of enriching activities with the kids, way more than I would be able to do or even think of myself, and they are really good about supervising the interactions between the kids so they get to experience positive social interactions with other babies. I believe the entire experience has been really good for my son's development and I'm incredibly happy with and grateful for the teachers, primarily Miss Emily and Miss Casey, although all the other teachers and helpers I've met have been awesome as well. It's definitely the most expensive childcare option in the area that I've seen but so far I've felt it's worth it, in large part thanks to the quality of teacher they are able to afford.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!…read more First, I want to say that the teachers in both the Preschool 1 and Toddlers 2 classrooms were incredibly kind. They were genuinely the only positive part of our experience at The Goddard School. Everything else was truly unacceptable. Before my children started, I had multiple conversations with the administration about my daughter's autism. I was transparent about her needs, discussed accommodations, and was repeatedly assured that she would be welcomed, supported, and that this was an inclusive environment equipped to work with children on the spectrum. Those promises were not kept. My daughter wasn't even given a full day before they decided to terminate her enrollment. She was not violent or aggressive--she was overstimulated and in a brand-new environment, and she needed support. Around 2:00 p.m., Fatima called me and asked to meet the following morning to create a support plan for my daughter. I immediately agreed because I believed we would be working together to help her succeed. Then, just two hours later, around 4:00 p.m., Kayla called and informed me that my daughter was being terminated instead. The complete reversal was shocking and deeply upsetting. As a parent of a child with disabilities, I cannot ignore how this situation felt. I believe the way my daughter was treated raises serious concerns, and I will be reporting what occurred. Another issue was the professionalism of the administration. During our tour, Fatima presented herself as warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic. Yet on our very first day, I observed her rolling her eyes while my children were simply excited and acting like children in a new environment. It was a completely different person than the one I met during enrollment. I also read Kayla's biography on the school's website, and unfortunately, the compassion and values described there were not reflected in how she treated my family. That evening, I sent an email seeking clarification about the decision to terminate my daughter and asking for an explanation of what had happened. I never received the courtesy of a response. When I returned to pick up my other two children, Fatima looked at me with a truly disgusting expression on her face instead of professionalism or empathy. I am sharing this experience so other families--especially those raising children with autism or other disabilities--can make informed decisions. If a school advertises itself as inclusive and capable of supporting children with special needs, those commitments should be genuine, not just part of the enrollment process. I was warned before I enrolled my kids here, don't make the mistake I did.
