This was, without question, the worst employer I have ever worked for, and I would strongly discourage anyone from working here or supporting this business. The most disappointing aspect was the complete lack of respect shown toward employees. In my experience, management created a hostile work environment, regularly blamed staff for problems instead of accepting responsibility, and addressed employees in ways I found demeaning and unprofessional. I witnessed the owner tell high school-aged employees that they had "mental blocks," and employees were publicly criticized and verbally attacked in front of customers instead of having concerns addressed privately. I also witnessed an employee lose his job after requesting time off following the death of his dog. Another incident that I found deeply inappropriate involved the handling of an employee's personal information. During a difficult period involving family issues, management used the employee's emergency contact information to contact her father for reasons unrelated to an actual emergency. Based on what I witnessed, management discussed the employee's personal situation with him, which I felt was an unacceptable misuse of confidential information and a serious breach of trust. The owner also gossiped about me and my coworkers to other workers creating an environment we felt unsafe in. This company always had drama within the workplace and staff was always unstable with employees / managers quitting left and right. The company's tipping practices were another major concern. Employees were told that customer tips were included in their minimum-wage paychecks rather than being distributed separately. Around Christmas, employees were also required to turn over cash tips that had been personally given to them by a regular customer. Would never recommend tipping unless you want to give more money to these unprofessional, greedy individuals. I also had serious concerns about food quality and food handling. Employees were instructed to use mushrooms with visible mold because they had not yet reached their expiration date and "they're supposed to look like that" (apparently), and milk past its "best by" date was considered acceptable to serve. Gluten-free precautions were presented to customers, but cross-contamination was unavoidable in practice. Cookies were left out for days until they became stale and were still sold. Customers should also know that no bakery items were made in-house. The bakery inventory came from Sam's Club, although employees were instructed to describe it only as coming from "our distributors." The mozzarella sticks were also frozen, pre-packaged products rather than made fresh. Another serious concern was the amount of stress left on mostly high-school aged kids to run this place on their own. Management was inconsistent and owners were constantly on vacation. Specifically, one time they took a trip, the manager left, and owners told us not to contact them all week. The pizza kitchen was an absolute disaster being held together by 3 teenage girls (2 of which were on their first week). The dough press was broken, and ingredients were running out and orders were piling in. The manager was called and she said there was nothing she could do and we got ridiculed by numerous angry customers. Ultimately, there are far better local businesses that value both their employees and their customers. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business in any capacity. I would encourage anyone considering working here--or spending their money here--to think carefully before doing so. read more

Where do I start?! This unique boutique that serves coffee as good or better than Starbucks has been a Fantastic find! Not only is it delicious, but the atmosphere is simply stellar folks! And wait....there is more!!! "Nitrogen infused reg and flavored tea"?!? Wowza. You have to try it yourself to believe it. And that is just scratching the surface of their many delicious options. And what is the cherry on top of the cake? Let me tell you. It's the sweet and positively wonderful staff behind the counter that serves me my drinks (notice that was pleural) every time I stop bye. The disgraceful part of it all is that I had didn't want to share the growler with my son. The tea is that good! My fave you ask? Definitely the peach nitrogen infused tea. Yes, I bet I'm spending way too much money at this one of a kind coffee shop. I confess, I may be addicted. So, let me wrap this review up for you...you are just bananas and loco if you do not stop in and try the many delectable goodies this one of a kind shop has to offer. The Cove coffee shop is a hidden gem in the town of Ontario. A relaxing, fun atmosphere hits you as soon as you walk in. I am very picky about my coffee, (I don't even like truly like Starbucks and I wasn't a fan of Relax it's just coffee). But I can honestly recommend The Cove mocha!! The friendly, and helpful staff recommended it and I didn't regret it!! They also have scones for you to snack on while you enjoy your coffee. Probably one of my favorite place in town to get coffee. There are great vibes and friendly service. Owners are really nice. I even saw them go around and check up on people! The place is so aesthetic, and I loved it so much. I went to one of the concerts and loved it; I really hope they have more. The coffee is very smooth and amazing, and definitely better than other places I've been. I absolutely love the teas there. My favorite is a shake it up tea with peach and honey. NEW owner/operators have turned the previously awkward and uncomfortable little shop into a quintessential coffee shop! Thanks Jen for the great service and hospitality. The Chi tea was fantastic. A rarity in this area, the shop is locally owned and original - not a chain. The much improved atmosphere was conducive to relaxing conversation.
