I forgot to post my review but maybe it is for the best because I've had some time to see if their repair holds. We had a crack. Like a leaky basement yucky one. The repair ended up costing about 2x what they originally said which ... hey that happens. The quoted it sight unseen, then looked at it and decided it was bigger than they expected. They put this junk in, plug it and then you cut the plugs flat after a few days. Repair at 6 months is holding. The other people that looked at it were thousands if dollars so I thought I'd try this...glad I did. I only have before pics Prompt and repair that worked. read more

A crack developed on my basement wall, and started weeping water. I've had a few weeping rod holes for a couple of years, but thought I really needed to get this crack serviced. Dave from the Crack Team, he was my 4th, and final estimate I got. #1 said they'd fill the crack and put a vapor barrier over it for $975 #2 said that although my walls were plumb, and showed no sign of other distress, I would need 5 carbon wall ties, @ $500/each, and fill the crack, with a 10% cash discount for $3868 #3 said they would fill the crack & rod holes w/ epoxy for $500 #4 gave me an estimate of $1050 to fill the crack and rod holes with urethane and then reinforce the job with carbon concrete staples - with a lifetime transferable warranty! After doing my research online, I came to the decision that urethane is better than epoxy, for my purposes, and that I don't need 5 carbon wall ties. Dave with the Crack Team won my bid because of the reinforcement, use of urethane, and the warranty. His work was fine, as was he. The only negatives I can give is that he didn't prep me on how messy of a job this was going to be. At one point I went down in the basement to check and see if he would like something to drink, and my whole basement was filled with concrete dust. If I had been prepped on the mess, I would've shut off the furnace, shut the door to the room he was working in, and cover a bunch of things in the room he was working in, to make clean up way easier on me. He wrote me up for a bill of $1070, because he filled 1 more rod hole than quoted ($20/rod hole). All in all, I recommend the Crack Team. read more

I spent countless hours getting quotes and advice from basement waterproofing companies. Quotes ranged from $1000 to over $20000. Most were pushy sales people what wanted to sell me a system to either cut my basement floor or dig around my home. After meeting Dave I was convinced I did not need anything that drastic. (I now believe most homes "Poured Basements" don't need that drastic of a job.) Dave came in on the day and time he scheduled. He was clean and neat. He completed the job in under 4 hours and vacuumed up any mess he made. After he was done he explained everything and left me with a sheet of what to do over the next couple days. I would give this company 1000 stars if I could. First of all, if they can fix your problem, they will tell you so and they will get it right with a single visit. No need to come back to fix something later because it wasn't done done correctly the very first time. Second, their rates are fair and I feel I get my money's worth working with them. And last but not least, even when the water problem in your basement happens to be something they don't deal with (e.g. water coming from the concrete floor instead of a crack on the wall), they are more than willing to give you sound advice and refer to companies they trust who can maybe solve your problem. For example, The Crack Team has steered me in the right direction of contacting a reliable plumbing company to snake my house's storm drain system versus spending tons of money on a new drain system. Really, I know my review may sound too good to be true, but this is my sincere experience with this company. I highly recommend them for your own home, rentals and commercial properties. I recently contacted The Crack Team after reading a recommendation on Nextdoor.com. I left a message, and my call was returned within a few hours by Dave. He discussed the situation with me and gave me his rates over the phone so no surprises. We scheduled the repair. Dave examined the rod holes that we had exposed and pointed out additional cracks that we might want to consider repairing before re-drywalling but did not pressure us. We had 22 rod holes repaired at a cost of $570, which we thought was very reasonable and plan to have the cracks repaired after we have a chance to cut the drywall ourselves. The repairs have a lifetime warranty. We will be calling the Crack Team after the holidays to do further repairs. read more
