First visit to Craft Beer Co yesterday...we called ahead earlier in the afternoon to reserve a space for a group of mates, but unfortunately when we arrived nothing was set aside.
Drink wise, there are a great selection of beers, ales and spirits from around the world, my personal recommendations are the 'Tzaro' and 'kill your darlings' beers.
Food menu was a bit limited, burgers were pretty good, and came on brioche bun, with pickles and the works. The 'bacon dust' chips were pretty dissapointing. (lack of anything actually resembling the taste of bacon!)
The interior door to the beer garden is also left open to allow staff to go in and out with food and drinks, but unfortunately this meant that the back of the bar where we were sat was pretty cold. We did request to have this closed, but were told it must remain open at all times.
Bar wasn't too busy, but had a good atmosphere. By around 8pm it seemed to die down a bit. We had spent the best part of the afternoon/evening in the pub and had spent a fair amount of money sampling the various beers/ales/spirits on offer, as well as ordering food. Our group of 14 made up about half of the clientele inside the bar, although unfortunately the manager felt that we were talking to loudly and came over to tell us to be quiet on 3 occasions (yes tell, not ask) and his attitude was quite abrupt and rude.
I had really high hopes for this bar, the location is great for what could be a great little neighbourhood spot, but unfortunately given the poor service when we arrived, and quite frankly rude attitide of the manager, I won't be returning. read more
