And then I realise that I am married with children so indeed already a grown up but sadly without the budget to buy all my clothes from Stone. It's a beautiful shop with high end pieces so prices are also high which means that I have to be content with little bits like flip flops and t shirts from here. Stone is beautifully laid out and well stocked with Custo, Almost Famous and lots of other smaller but equally fabulous labels. It's the kind of place you would get an outfit for a wedding or a really special occasion. Tops range from £50 - £150 and dresses are up to £200 so your eyes will water at both the fabulousness of the clothes and the prices. The clothes really are gorgeous though and they look very expensive which is reassuring. Stone also sticks fab costumes jewellery which happily is much more affordable.

Though admittedly even sometimes she wouldn't pay the price of some of the extortionate clothing on sale in here. It is a gorgeous shop though that sells high end designer fashion, it's perfect for the people who holiday up here with that little bit more money. The most I've ever been able to afford from here was a pair of earrings, they were pilgrim and oh they're so pretty! Stone is the sort of shop you might go to for graduation wear or maybe formal attire but for the most of us who can't afford the luxuries of designer clothing every day at least we get to look at all the pretty clothing. I love this shop but it also makes me want to throw out everything in my house and start again…read more It's filled with beautiful bits and pieces like wooden ornaments, vases, framed prints and candles. But not so full that you can't actually see each thing. They have particularly nice pieces for a child's room which is done in a nautical style. Things like bleached out coloured wooden boats and signs saying 'gone fishing'. I also love the scented candles and have just bought a fig and mint one which smells good enough to eat. They come in lovely tins for £7 and are the perfect treat for yourself or a gift for someone else. The napkin holders and napkins are fab too and are next on my list. I have also bought some lovely wooden heart decorations for the kitchen. They also do larger pieces of beautiful painted wooden furniture. Big chunky pieces with big chunky prices to match. You can also buy some lovely Cath Kidston trinkets to put on your new furniture. Ideally you should go alone to a Broader Picture. Kids will flail about dying of boredom and men will simply have no comprehension of why you would want to spend 20 minutes in there.

This shopping centre is similar to every other shopping centre - the usual suspects dominate, but…read moreunwelcome change may be imminent with Brexit, Wu flu and repeated lockdowns (imposed by politicians who don't know much what they are doing) as Debenhams - which is a key anchor in many shopping centres including his place - has hit the wall along with Bonmarchè, Topshop, Topman, Peacocks, Jaeger, Edinburgh Woollen Mills, DW Sports, Peter Jones, Bensons for Beds, Harvey's furniture and sadly many more. Looks like lots of empty spaces ahead, with no clear way of seeing how these empty stores will be filled, even in the longer term. The business model for these centres was to focus on the big chain store operators where rent was easy, and set rents so high that the small independents hadn't a prayer, although this centre has a few smaller players like a barbers, and Paolo Pizza. It is making another blunder in its food court - it has an O' Brien's sandwich bar as well as a Supermacs (both Irish-branded with the latter possibly the only one in Northern Ireland) but it is allowing the Yangtze Chinese food bar to lower its quality while increasing prices. I know once contracts are signed the deal is done but the centre should be concerned about its reputation and should have the ability to intervene when a tenant starts to sell rubbish food. I ended up getting a flat white in their O Brien's, which was poor tasting - only the queue outside Starbucks put me off going there and after tasting the flat white I wish I had queued. I had tried the M&S cafe but it was closed. I wouldn't rush back.

I have never gone into a…read morePenny's store intending to be a customer- last time was in Orlando and we got out of the car and walked through one to go into a shopping mall. The centre has some local flavour with some small independents trading like Mc Gettigan's bakery, Cafe Trax and the Oasis bar. It also has Tesco Costa and the usual suspects. I shot a brief video as I walked through and it was Jim Revees - one of my mum's favourite singers (she disliked old blue eyes intensely) and my friend Dee commented on how loud the music was. Yes Dee we are a singing nation and many folks were walking along singing along with Jim. Our wee nation has just spent thirty million euro on Garth Brooks concerts - 5 only in Dublin Summer 22 and we'll sing as much to him as he will to us. If this was transcribed to USA Garth would turn billions of dollars. I guess it pays to have friends in low places after all. Go Garth.

While the experience in the shop is usually pleasant, yesterday I went to penneys with a group of…read morefriends, and the manager was inexplicably suddenly following us around the shop. She promptly talked to security and instructed them to watch us even at the cash register.We were rather confused and soon came to the conclusion she believed we were stealing, when that simply wasn't the case. It was a very disrespectful and unsettling experience as she and the security followed us around the shop blatantly until we left through the machines at the exit.They expected the alarm to sound as we walked through but that did not occur because we simply did not steal or do anything that she claimed we did. In the very least it was satisfying when they had to stare at us as we walked out proving we didn't commit any robbery. I implore staff to think twice before following a group of young teenage girls that only wanted to go on a nice day out shopping and enjoying themselves.
