I've been coming in to see Ben for almost a year now and I've never been more pleased. He's helped me as I grow my hair out and helped me pick cuts that are easy for me to maintain at home! He's thorough and takes his time making sure you look good when you leave. Great conversation every time be it about movies, music, current events, whatever. Also has some products and can advise on how to use them lol They have a fridge with cold beverages for customers at no charge. It's clean and everyone inside is cool. Such a great shop I drove 30 minutes away to get my cut, professional, clean they take their time. This is an absolutely great shop. You could make an appointment online and when you walk in, somebody will say something to you unlike most shops, they greet you they even have snacks and drinks for you. Made an appointment and drove 45 minutes to the shop. When I walked in the owner said the appointment was on there but from some reason was canceled last minute. At the same time a walk in came in and they said it would be an hour. However, they asked me to come back in 3 hours or another day. No explanation, no apologies nothing. I had been going to Cutter's Barber shop for a bit, and when I couldn't get in to get my haircut, Cutter recommended, that I go to The Cut and see Casey. I did, and now I won't go to any other barber. Casey is precise, knowledgeable, and takes his time ensure that your desired look is attained. Even to the point of pulling out a straight razor and giving those finishing touches to the beard and hairline, to really make your haircut stand out. He can also expertly cut/style any type of hair. My hair type is very difficult for most barbers, but even on my first visit, I received the exact style I had pictured in my mind. I made my boyfriend an appointment on Wednesday afternoon for Saturday at 4:45 with JOEY. It is now almost 5:30 and he still waiting to get his haircut. When I was on the phone we confirmed twice that the appointment was at 4:45 on Saturday. I guess one of the guys cleared his schedule but didn't bother to call us and now we are getting squeezed in. I was traveling in Olympia for work and for my evening of free time I would find a beer stop and then get dinner. I was overdue for a haircut and there was a barber shop next to this brewery, so I dropped in on the of chance that they would be willing to cut my hair as a walk-in. The primary lady working greeted me and said they were booked now, but if I wanted to stop in tomorrow, give us a text, so she provided a number - I said "yeah, I might try to come in tomorrow around 6", I texted that afternoon and never got an answer, but I dropped in anyway. The gal - Jaymie was able to squeeze me in for a "dry" haircut. What the hell. I will go for it. I was satisfied for a last minute job. Charged me 1/2 price, which made sense. I just needed some maintenance. Quick in and out. There was an adorable little boy next to me that was getting his hair cut. So cute. Thanks for the hospitality. Also, later that night or the next day, the other stylist texted me back-nice follow through. Bonus there is a brewery next door - Headless Mumby. To note: Was charged $25 for the dry hair cut - I recently got my haircut in my hometown, Portland, OREGON same "dry cut" for $45 :( maybe I should drive to Olympia to get my haircut next time. Dry cut I am told is the greener/newer way to cut hair for more accuracy. Not sure if I fully believe that, but fine, my choice to go there (the later place). read more

Had an AMAZING time with Kelton at The Cut. I went in for a bald shave, with a beard Lining and came out with an awesome experience. After shaving my head, he had brought out a steamer to keep my head hydrated as he prepped my beard for the lineup. Kelton also prep my beard with a warm towel message with a dry shampoo. I followed Sommer to The Cut and am so happy I did. First, I would follow Sommer almost anywhere, but The Cut has a great vibe and the other stylists are clearly top notch. While I waited for my appointment (I am always a bit early) it was great watching the team at work. They are all very talented and they are also, clearly, a team.
