Only me and one other student showed up, and the place smelled like a sweat-fest (those ballerinas before us must have been workin' it). Teacher was casual, a very talented choreographer, and hungry because she kept going to the side of the studio to eat her dinner in between instructions. I didn't sweat (again, I think my body was tricked by the studio's aroma into thinking it wasn't necessary) but I did feel challenged by the routine. Only about 1/3 of the class time was dedicated to dancing; the rest was warm up moves, funkywalking across the floor, stretching, and ab exercises. The music choices were contemporary which was a plus. I would have liked to learn a longer routine than three counts of 8, but its all good.

It is a fun class, and really makes you sweat! I've lost a total of 10lbs in the past three classes! The facilities are large and extremely well kept. There is a large waiting room space for parents/families of dancers. The bathrooms are consistently clean. And the atmosphere in general is exactly what any parent should look for in a dance studio for their children.

She created the name Stillness Power, which says it well. It's a good workout and mindful, too. The programs are varied, from mat yoga to aerial (which is great for all ages) to zumba and Bollywood dance. The dance teachers and the studio make these classes more interesting, fun, and a fabulous workout. Besides individual classes, you can bring families, come with a child, have parties or leadership retreats. If you can imagine it, Sanjyot is ready to try it with it with you. And, shavassana-the relaxation pose-in the silks, with Sanjyot's meditation is by far the most relaxing experience I've had in 20 years of yoga! It's worth coming just for that!!
