It seems Kathy now remotely "runs" the business from Florida. Whatever once was good is apparently now gone. Avoid.

The best part is that the owner Juel is a great teacher and an amazing gymnast and dancer herself. She is active in the pole dance competition circuit, so she understands and can teach new and advanced tricks and combinations, but at the same time she is very patient and encouraging with beginners, and makes sure that they learn the fundamentals correctly (and on both sides!). The combination of the tall poles and her expert instruction make my hour-long drive from Boston 100% worthwhile.

They all wearing the same shirt, at least that. When you sign up your kid for a Broadway class, you expect the will learn something, and regards of the presentation, a little more effort instead of just wearing the same shirt.

The staff has been very friendly and helpful, the gym is very clean, and the overall environment is respectful. It's a well mixed crowd, from long-time gym goers to those who have just begun their journey. It's a good fit for everyone. People are polite. The one pumped up dude who was slamming his weights was promptly asked to stop by a staff member. It's never over crowded, so you can always get a good workout in. There's very little negative criticism to be had here. They could use another squat rack. And the dumbbells could be more clearly labeled, but that's just a nit-picking thing (I've gotten used to it anyway). I'm happy I chose FitLab in Merrimack, and I'd definitely recommend it to others.
