**First Class is FREE!!!**…read more I have been going to LDS for about a year now and I'm still just as excited to keep going as I was the first Tuesday night. If you love to dance and want some exercise, this is for you. Every Tuesday night there is a Zumba Fitness class at 6:30pm, a Salsa Beginners class at 6:30pm and a beginners Zumba Fitness class at 7:30pm. I was a little apprehensive when I first went. I had never done anything like that before but it was something that I really wanted to try out. The Instructors are SO friendly, I can't emphasise that enough. Believe me when I tell you that if you're worried about being uncoordinated or looking silly, no-one is paying attention, we're all trying to figure out what our feet are doing and why our arms are flailing about on their own :-). Apart from the awesome workout, the next biggest thing I get out of LDS is fun! It's fun to get some friends and go shake it together. Even when my friends can't make it I still have a laugh. The Instructors are a big draw card for this place. Hope to see you there! :-)

Watch out! The management are not ethical and have no sense of integrity…read more I went for a trial dance and enrolled, thinking I was paying $118.00, when I was charged $1180.00! The man knew I was distracted, never mentioned or showed me the amount and rushed me. When I realised I made a mistake, he refused to refund me. I have received no service, no contact from management despite numerous requests. Bad bad business. I told him I couldn't buy food or petrol and he still refused. Not a good way to get customers. I am disgusted and in extreme hardship. Will be spreading the word! Stay away ladies!

At prestige you do not get very many opputunies and it's only really suited iif you want to dance for fun. I don't really think that overall Prestige dance academy is a very good school and you won't get far with dance. Just my opinion, no hate.

I'd heard about them over the years, but finally shimmied on over to their Hindmarsh studio (in the Serbian Hall) when I got a bargain 10 visit pass from one of those online coupon sites. La Bomba runs an array of Latino Dance classes, including salsa, reggaeton, rueda, zumba and my class; samba. I'll start with the niggly negatives. The hall is RIGHT NEXT TO the Entertainment Centre and not far from Hindmarsh Stadium, which means 8 times out of 10 parking is a biatch! On top of that, parking inspectors love the area on events nights so watch out. I also found it quite off-putting that during classes the woman that checks people in (I think she may be the owner) sits at the back talking and laughing with a bunch of randoms. I think these randoms are advanced dancers that come to freestyle once all us beginner chumps are out of the way, and I can see that it indicates that they have a fab fancy footed community, but for someone who is self conscious and is really proud of herself for walking through the door and giving her booty a shake, having a bunch of experts laughing at the back of the room is not only off putting, but just comes across as really unprofessional. All that being said, my main instructor was LOVELY. She just wanted us to have fun, be confident, enjoy the class and strut like Beyonce. I loved her energy and her instructing style. We did have another instructor a couple of times, and whilst he definitely knew what he was on about, he was much less fun and much stricter... which didn't suit me but I know others would love. Overall, La Bomba is definitely worth a visit if you can get your hands on a magical coupon site pass or you're really into latin dance, but for me I probably wouldn't pay full price. Instead I'm on the search for another spot to give my hips a wiggle. ;)

Having 45min dance class isn't enough, but having 3 in a row and a bit of social dancing afterwards,it's like having a meal at a restaurant. *Entree: a plate of mouth-watering dance warm ups then inviting your body for techniques and movements and some combos. It has to be one of the most glamorous places in SA to go to the gym, complete with chandeliers and works of art adorning the walls. The place is massive and the facilities are state of the art - you never need to fight for a space to exercise. The class times are a bit awkward and don't really suit city workers, who I'd assume would be their biggest clients - so I'd recommend checking that out before you join. I'm hopeful that as they grow they will have more classes (especially yoga!) available. The biggest downfall is parking - unfortunately they have no designated parking and the car park across the road closes at 7pm which doesn't help those of us wanting to train after work. Street parking is the way to go but often difficult - unless you are doing a 6am class. Overall, a great gym and can't wait to see how it improves as time goes by!

The staff are friendly, always saying hello and goodbye when you leave the gym. The people who have set this gym up have a keen eye to detail, they are interested in providing an innovative gym experience. I have started with a Personal Trainer recently and it has been one of the best things that I have done. We have been incorporating a few crossfit exercises into my training and he has been able to make the training specific to my strenghth building needs that compliments my other activities. The gym boasts lots of great activities such as pilates, gravity yoga and pole conditioning. There is even a cafe on the ground floor with a wide selection of goodies for gym junkies. And if you have children, there are childcare facilities too. I haven't had a problem with carparking before or after hours either.
