CCS was suppose to dig a big trench/footer and put large rocks in the footer to keep the smaller rocks from rolling down, but NO, CCS didn't put ANY footer at all in our seawall and we have to replace more rock every couple of years because our rip rap sea wall keeps sliding down into the canal. That's the kind of work that CCS does for ordinary people, but if you own a business or a home builder that can send CCS clients, then you get a good job, but the rest of us get the SHAFT!

Claimed they wanted to give me good results and couldn't so they did refund my deposit. I originally met James a few weeks ago when he came over to give me a quote for a full front deck/stairwell replacement. My stairwell has some wood rot and damage from past hurricanes. He was nice and gave me a quote. I then asked if he would consider just replacing the wood rot and damaged parts of the stairwell, remove all the pain and then give the entire deck/stairwell a full coat of dark stain (to hide the differences in the wood (new vs old wood) and a couple coats of a clear protectant. He agreed and sent me a quote. I then asked for some modifications to the quote/contract to include start and completion dates, exactly what he would do and they types of wood he would use for repair. I even asked him to put in a provision for a 10% bonus for the entire price of the project if he finishes early or on time. All of that he agreed to and I paid the 50% deposit. He had seen the job and agreed and I had a contract. On the start date, he showed up with 2 workers and they started. We had an 8 day window to complete the project because of a party at our home, which he knew about well before the start date . He was going to remove the paint by sand blasting first, or so I thought. After 20 minutes he knocked on the door and said he would have to restart the project after the party because removing the paint was going to take longer than expected. I told him I was uncomfortable with the last minute change in plans and asked if he could just work to remove all of the paint then stop until after the project. The wood already looked crappy from the peeling paint and just having all the wood exposed wouldn't be any worse. James continued to say it wouldn't look good and for me to trust him. I said ok and we agreed for him to start after the party. A short time later, the same day he started and then stopped working because the job would be hard, he offered to just replace all of the deck/stairwell (the original project) at a discounted price from his original quote. I thanks him for his offer but declined and said I wanted to stick with the strip, repair and stain plan. He then started saying he couldn't do the job and have the product look nice and that he wanted me to be happy. I believe that was a lie and a cover up because he, or workers, didn't want to do the job. James then started blaming his boss for the reason to stop, which seemed like another lie to me. I had a signed contract and a paid deposit. I could've held him to doing the work but decided to just end the relationship and find someone who is better. Now I see there is a reason this company has no reviews.

When we purchased a used FEMA trailer to replace the home my mother & grandma lost nobody would help us. I called & emailed many companies & the few that replied gave outrageous quotes. Like $50k just to set a single wide 8x48 mobile home. Mr. Mead quoted us for a fraction of that! Charlotte County threw many obstacles our way making it difficult to obtain a permit. Not only did he keep me informed about the obstacles but he fought very hard for us to get an approved permit. He is very knowledgeable about the laws and will do his research so he can go to bat for you. I do not believe anyone else could have accomplished what he did honestly. Once we got an approved permit he worked diligently to get their home set. He remained fair on his pricing and treated my mom and grandma like family. The deck he built is absolutely beautiful & it's my grandma's new favorite spot!!! He thought of all the little details that I wouldn't have. I trusted him 100% throughout this whole project and I am glad I did! He has given my family and I peace again. We will be using him for future projects and encourage you to do the same!
