This is a pretty place when it isn't full of teenagers. If you go over the bridge a little, you will notice a footpath through the trees, if you walk down this footpath which leads you to the main road by Broadlands, if you look to your left whilst following the path, you will notice in the the fields next to it, are two massive abandoned buildings. they appear to be burnt and half falling apart. whilst this is a safety hazzard, it didn;t stop me and many others from going to check it out.
It looks like it was built over 100 years ago judging by the architecture, and it was massive. nothing about the building was modern at all but then not that far away next to it is a bungalow, which does look much more modern than the huge building. this bungalow had also been set on fire, but wasn't falling apart as much as the other. you can still walk through the houses, there are even furniture still left in there, including dressing tables and chairs etc. what i don't understand is what these buildings are . they appear to be way too posh, and old than anything around these days, and how did the fires manage to spread across the land, as not all of it was grass. arson perhaps? another thing that;s bothering me is that a lot of people know about these houses, mostly teenagers but i've been trying to look for about 4 years on the internet to find out what these places used to be. i've heard from all kinds of people all kinds of things such as a foster home in the olden days, an art gallery, etc. but came across nothing on the actual internet telling me what these houses were, how they got burnt down, and how old it is etc. if anyone knows, please comment back. or go and visit the place, it truly is wonderful. read more
