What a wonderful, welcoming environment! The owners met our group's energy and we had the best time. This was a team bonding event and it absolutely worked out well. And to top it off, the food was simply amazing. The owners made the steps simple enough that I feel like I could, with the right tools, replicate in my own home.

We stopped by for a soup lunch, Italian wedding soup with turkey meatballs and a piece of focaccia bread for $10. Have to eat in your car. Soup and bread was delicious! They were open this week from 11-2. Stop in the store and grab some lunch to go!

updating my review. But not changing my score they still haven't added the sixth star. I got to experience my first cooking class that they offer on Valentine's Day. I am not big on this holiday and not someone that likes to go and do all the stereotypical things. I was happy that my wife still got to go out with me and we made our dinner, and got to experience it with some friends . On the menu with steak and lobster we also made rice, pilaf, shrimp, chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and more. Chef.Shawn was our chef for the night. She is the head chef Covenant House Alaska. She has a fantastic human being had an amazing shaft. I was happy to learn what I did from her that night. This is definitely an amazing experience and was well worth the money we paid. If they offer this again, I will absolutely come back for it on Valentine's Day. We are now interested in signing up for some of the other cooking classes as we both think it would be fun to learn how to cook things . The experience overall is great because you have time to mingle with others and talk about how your families cook things. Your truly getting an experience like no other. This is the only place in Anchorage that I know of that offers anything like this. We will be looking at a future class. Like I said, in my previous review, the price for oil and balsamic vinegar is the best you will find anywhere in the state . The quality is also fantastic. We have destroyed a few bottles of oil very quickly. If you're going in for the first time, take the staff recommendations they will do a great job explaining things and they will also let you try things. I will say from my own experience the lemon oil is delicious on everything and the white balsamic is fantastic and I enjoyed it very much on my salad the other night . We will be back again and again I highly recommend checking this place if you haven't already . On the non-restaurant side, they have all of the cooking items and utensils. You can possibly imagine.

    Buckeyes!

My husband and I love food and so we were excited when The Dirty Apron opened across the street from my husband's office. It's hard to get into classes with my chaotic work schedule, but we managed to get in on a cookie baking class on Christmas Eve. There were only two other people in the class, which was $150 per person. We made 3 types of cookies at this class: shortbread cane candies with the choice of peppermint or almond flavoring (we went with peppermint), buckeyes, and ginger molasses. The class went over about 30ish minutes so it went from 2pm until 530pm, but we had a lovely time chatting with the owners about our favorite chef's both locally and online. I can't wait to see what classes they offer in the future. I will say it was also pretty awesome not needing to do clean up haha.

What a fantastic and delightful experience! The Yorks are an amazing family who have poured a lot of love and expertise into The Dirty Apron. They taught our large group, with ages ranging from 12 to 87, how to make pizza. Even the experienced home pizza makers in our group were impressed and found value in the lessons. We were divided into pairs of four, with each team making three pizzas to share. Before enjoying our savory pizzas, we were served a fresh and delicious salad. At the end of our experience, the Yorks treated us to a couple of dessert pizzas--yum! It was an absolutely delicious meal and a fun family experience. We are all looking forward to coming back!

Amazing x's We had a fantastic evening with our customers preparing a meal together. Thank you!

We had a private event held here for their thin crust pizza class and it was fabulous! It was such a fun atmosphere and the owners go out of their way to make certain to accommodate any special requests. The cooking space that each person was assigned with were super clean and precise. We will definitely be returning! Thank you, Dirty Apron- you guys are exactly what our Alaskan Community needs for a fun night out!

I will start with one LARGE event for the company during Christmas. There was a communication error from our side to theirs where they brought it all buffet style, I'm talking for 80-100 people. We called a little frustrated but sure enough Heather came to the rescue. She rushed to get plates and back to individually scoop and box every item made to order. In the face of what could have been a company pushing back on us she busted her behind to make it right. That was when I just fell in love with them. The second time was when I was in a bind and called on a Thursday afternoon needing food for a small board meeting Tuesday. Heather once again said SURE I can make that work and threw together the most delicious Shrimp and Chicken Rustic Penne that blew the board away. They are wonderful and the food is delicious and packed perfectly.... You will absolutely HANDS DOWN not regret using this catering company and Heather is a true aficionado of customer service!!!!! Much love you guys ROCK

I was actually planning it from out of state, but Riza met with my mom and discussed all the options for the food and what we were looking for. One of the things that we took into consideration is that Crow Creek Mine is a pretty remote venue with no running water. Riza had catered there plenty of times and had it all under control. The day of our wedding Riza and her team handled all of the food, plates, silverware, and glassware. The food was phenomenal. We went with the grilled salmon and habanero peach chicken as the entrees. Our guests were so impressed with the quality and taste that many of them went back for thirds. Which was great for our guests, but not so great for our hope of leftovers that we could take camping with us the week after. Riza's team did pack up what little food was left for us (which was just a bit of chicken and orzo salad). Our guests also loved the reindeer sausage appetizers, which disappeared almost immediately. Riza had the forethought to put some to the side for my husband and I so we could have a little after we were done taking photos. For a big event it's so easy for salmon to become dry and overcooked. But with Riza the salmon tasted incredibly fresh and moist, which made me extremely happy that we could share this iconic dish with our guests and do it justice. When planning the wedding we looked at all kinds of food options, but at the end of the day I am so grateful that we had Riza and her team do the catering. To not have to worry about any food and cleanup the day of was worth every penny.

We began a couple of months ago via email and worked our a menu of items, a couple of follow up emails and calls near the event date, to finalize details, and we were all set. I have to say one of the best part of the experience was the friendly easy going, yet totally professional, "I got this" from Riza. I had a lot going on, this reception was just part of a much larger week long event on my side, and she made having a high end, 30 person in home dinner party, a breeze. The evening of the event, Riza and Sasha arrived, right when expected and quickly went to work, setting up and putting out all of the delicious food we had ordered. There wasn't one thing that every guest didn't seem to love. During the event, Riza tended our full bar while Sasha primarily made certain that all of the food was kept stocked, and fresh, and everyone was served. They both brought so much personality and warm charm, that they felt like hosts, as mush as my wife and I. They truly added to making the evening such a success. At the end, while my wife and I were entertaining the last of the guests the food was being packed up, and all the cleaning and kitchen work was done before we even knew it. We have already got them in the books for another event this year, and as soon as we nail down the date will book them for a third.
