Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. We got there around 12:30 PM and stood in an empty lobby for nearly 10 minutes before anyone greeted us. Once seated, service remained extremely slow despite the restaurant being about 90% empty. Food came out sporadically and with long delays, so our table wasn't able to eat together. I ordered the smash burger, which did not match the menu description. It arrived without the advertised sauce, and it wasn't what I would consider a smash burger. The patty was simply overcooked and burnt. What concerned me most was the staff's inability to answer basic questions about allergens in the menu items. For anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions, this is a significant issue. I understand not every server will know every ingredient, but I expected someone to be able to provide accurate information when asked. Slow service can sometimes be understandable when a restaurant is busy, but that wasn't the case here. Between the delayed greeting, lack of allergen knowledge, inconsistent food service, and disappointing food quality, this visit fell well below expectations. I think my first mistake was using UberEats as a delivery. However, I expect that if businesses use this type of service to deliver food they need to ensure that while a third party provider the food should still arrive at an appropriate temperature to their customers. The Distillery is literally just over a mile down the road from where I live. My UberEats driver went out of their way to deliver another order on the way to deliver mine and mine arrived barely warm. Trust me, I've learned my lesson. Now for my disappointment in The Distillery...I paid $16.00 for potato skins with extra cheese. I thought that's a bit much BUT I wanted potato skins and they were the closest. There were no napkins or utensils included in my take out. I mean napkins at the bare minimum would have been nice. The sour cream wasn't even in a plastic ramekin it was plopped right next to the potato skins and it was just an unpleasant blob. I had ONE decent sized potato skins and the rest for what I paid were PATHETICALLY small. They have a photo on their site of all decent sized potato skins-that's what I was expecting but not what I got. The cheese was all melted all over the bottom they were quite messy, so napkins would have come in handy. The whole experience was just underwhelming on so many levels. We were looking forward to having some 'bar eats' on the patio; but there was no server for the patio section. Bummer. I like that the menu has been revamped and modernized and that they are trying to be more environmentally friendly with their cardboard to-go boxes. There were lots of things on the menu that sounded enticing. I settled on a white veggie pizza with chicken that had arugula, artichoke, tomato, and kalamata olives. It was very tasty and I opted for the cauliflower crust. The crust seemed so much like a regular pizza crust, I couldn't believe it! I could only eat half. The Distillery did not used to have anything on the menu that I liked. Now they have deviled eggs (which are my favorite) and an Impossible burger. They also have 2 for 1 margaritas all the time, so it's become a place I like to go. I hadn't been to this location for a long time, and when we got there, the parking lot was packed on a week night. So I was expecting there to be a huge wait inside, but no one was there. And no hostess was there either, so we waited to get seated for at least 5 minutes. A few waiters saw us and kept telling us the host would be back soon. Finally one waiter saw us again and just took us and sat us somewhere. It was not a great start. Once we finally were seated, our waitress was very good and came over to us very quickly. Our drinks and the deviled eggs came really quickly. And the deviled eggs were a lot better than the ones at the Mt Hope location. At Mt Hope, they're always very cold, and you can tell they've been sitting in a refrigerator for awhile. These were a lot better, and really good. I honestly should have just ordered them again as my entree. Our burgers took awhile, but I was also really hungry, but there was definitely a lull between the deviled eggs and our food. I got an Impossible burger, and it was fine. I got a side of ranch with no issues. My husband is doing keto, so he got a burger with a lettuce bun, and they did that with no problem. We did not get many fries, so the waitress brought us an extra plate of fries without us even asking. That was really nice of her, and we really couldn't have asked for a better waitress. Their rewards club could use some work. You don't get a membership card or anything, so you use the same credit card or use your email. We found it with my email, but there's also no way to look it up online, so I had no idea what points we had or anything. I'm pretty sure I've gone here for drinks several times that I didn't get points for because of this. Anyway, it was my birthday, and I thought when I signed up there was some gift for your birthday, but apparently nothing came up. I think they should revamp this program or get rid of it because I have absolutely no idea what I'm earning or what I can redeem the points for. In any case, if you have a Save Around book, there's some good coupons. You need to buy 2 drinks to get a free entree, but with the margaritas being 2 for 1, it's not bad. Ok, never been here before until this night, back in January. I was staying in a hotel the night before I flew back home here to Boise. Some friends from high school and I got together for dinner here at The Distillery. I ordered the pizza. I LOVVVE pizza. I wasn't sure about getting pizza at this place because pizza at places like this --- yeah, usually don't deliver on quality. We came in here the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and the place was pretty busy at the bar, but not too bad in the dining room, at 9:30pm. We got a booth and I was amazed at the nice layout of the place. It looks cool with the bar in he middle. For a late night dinner, we ordered a pizza, garlic bread, and grilled wings. They came in about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the wings and garlic bread were cold, but the pizza was hot. We told the waitress and she apologized and did a reorder of the garlic bread and wings. The pizza didn't have any baby arugula on it like it should of, and the bottom crust was really soft, it tasted just okay. The new order of grilled wings were good, as they have some nice seasoning on them, the garlic bread was pretty plain with dried up cheese on it. The chicken tenders were crisp and appeared to be done in a homemade batter. Blue cheese was made in house as well. Not quite Tully's level tenders, but distillery you are on your way! The Baja shrimp tacos were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat. Avocados, salsa and a creamy cilantro slaw accompanied the freshly grilled shrimp. I go to the Mt Hope Distillery often and have never had a bad experience. My sister was staying near the Winton Road Distillery so I suggested that one. Wish I hadn't. It was on Ash Wednesday and we both wanted fish. Waitress gave us water and menus and walked away. The menu said only on Fridays. We overheard another waitress say the specials, which included fish fry. When waitress took our order we asked about it and she said, oh, yeah, we have it. So we both ordered fish sandwiches. I took two bites and found I had a mouth full of bones. I carefully extracted them and focused on my fries. Waitress came back I pointed to the four bones on my plate and she only said, Do you want another one? No apology. When she brought bill, I told her I belonged to the rewards program. I gave her my card and she said, it's not showing up. When we were leaving we saw a sign telling customers they'd need to reregister for rewards program. What the heck, waitress? We were nice enough 60 year olds, why weren't you nice in return? I can't imagine this happening at my neighborhood Distillery (Mt. Hope). read more

This was the first time we had been here in over year. We went on a Friday night around 9, it took probably 5-10 minutes for our waitress to come to the table. When she did, the first thing she said was "the kitchen is slow tonight". She proceeded to take our drink orders, one person ordered a beer. After waiting for it for about 15 minutes, we asked if it would be coming out soon, to which she said, "the bar is slow." This was a little ridiculous considering it was ONE beer, and after we mentioned it the beer came right out. The food was good, but the waitress didn't check on us throughout the meal to see if we needed anything, and we needed refills on drinks and condiments. On top of all of this, we were sat next to a table that was full of Distillery employees who were getting drunk and very loud. They also received probably 2-3 rounds of drinks before we received our first beer. Went here with a large group on Saturday night. Had not previously visited this location and quite frankly didn't realize that the Distillery even had a location on Winton. I'm not a huge fan of the Distillery and never really have been. However, as a group we came to the consensus that this would be a good option. Some members of our party were disappointed to learn that the Greece location would be a 45 minute wait for seating on a Saturday night so, we were pleased to learn that there was not a wait to be seated at this location. I am generally bothered by a lack of vegetarian options offered here. Furthermore, I feel like the quality of food could be turned up notch. One positive is the prices. Everything is cheap. Second positive were decent drinks. My hubs got a philly and I got cheese quesadillas. Everything was edible, but not something that we would go out of the way for again. I'll start by saying not very impressed with the full beards the servers and kitchen help have, that doesn't fly in most retardants I've frequented. I've never had bad food or service here. Wings are very good. I am a Ghost fan and they are good. The Blue Cheese is also very good. Bartenders were very attentive and worked great together. Never had to ask for something that was missed. Burrito Bowl was tasty as well and was actually quite a bit of food! I opted for no rice so they gave me extra beans. Love that they have touch tunes so I can play music and they have enough TVs to see sports almost anywhere. Can get busy pretty soon after the "typical" work day so be prepared just in case you prefer a bar seat such as I do. We dine at one of the many Distillerys at least two to three times per year. They have decent bar food at a good price. Their fish tacos are very good with a lot of fish in them. The boneless wings are tasty though a bit too few for the price. One downside is that their draft beer menu has been shrinking with not the wide range they used to have. And if you want to watch a sporting event this is the place to go with dozens of TVs. read more
