In the midst of divorce, we sought the services of Zollinger Mediation. We were informed of a $300 initial consultation fee and an hourly rate of $175. Upon meeting with Freya all was looking good until she asked for payment-$300 and informed us that her hourly rate was $285. You could say I was shocked because I never considered a mediator would attempt what appeared to be a bait and switch on us- by raising her rates by $110 over what had previously been agreed to during a phone conversation with her. If you're ok with a mediator that appears willing to be unethical, immoral, and is open to potentially breaking the law- this one's perfect for you. On a side note- I even had to involve authorities to assist with retrieving my personal documents from her- which was successful. Does having to involve the authorities sound like something you'd want to have to handle on top of a divorce? Yeah- quite a shocker for us too. In the end- we will move forward with anyone besides Zollinger. Buyer beware- when going through divorce one needs to be able to trust their mediation team- I have no trust in Zollinger but will find a firm that has integrity and has a proven history of satisfied clients. Would not recommend this service. Convenience hours but that is all. She was pro mother thinking she was a neutral person. Had to hire an attempt. To draft legal paperwork. Her paperwork and calculations were done wrong. Hire a professional and have it reviewed by your attorney. read more

My spouse and I were referred to Freya Zollinger to help with our divorce process after we agreed we did not want to take on the expense and complications hiring a Divorce Attorney would bring. Freya was extremely patient, kind, understanding and fair. However, we, as a couple, were not ready to mediate; emotions were too raw. My spouse and I reached an impasse that went from bad to worse. Recognizing the pitfalls of letting emotions take over, Freya presented a well thought out scenario advising us to take the time needed to keep our emotions in check and start mediation process again when we were both in a better place. She warned that taking such matters (the issues we were "stuck" on) to attorneys would not be in our best interest given the contentious environment some divorce attorneys espouse. We did not listen. In the end, Freya was right. My spouse and I retained two very powerful, well respected and VERY expensive attorneys that gladly took our case and our money and ran away with it; tens of thousands of dollars were spent making issues out of non- issues. Items my ex and I were in full agreement with were now matters taken to the court. Shock, disappointment and eventually anger took over. Not with each other, with our attorneys. How could we let this get away from us? Common sense prevailed. We went back to Freya -she never said "I told you so" :0). Unfortunately, we still had some of the same unresolved issues that both of us felt a strong desire to defend. That's where Freya's experience, empathy and determination shone through. It wasn't easy, but she accomplished her mission by settling our issues amicably and as fairly as possible. Had we stayed with Freya, we'd both be driving a brand new car.
