Unlike the Mississauga location I usually visit, they did not ask for all the ingredients on the spot, I was able to put the order on the next counter when someone was building it - which was coincidentally him. So I had him do my bogos exactly the same so it would be easy for him. My favourite thing here is the crispy jalapeño, along with the onion ring and the pineapple and oh yes the sauté mushroom. With the bogo redemption it costed $5 pp after tax. This location has condiments on a counter which is nice, along with cutlery and even hot sauce. It's a slightly better experience than Mississauga and even Port Credit. I wasn't a fan that the guy who ringed up my order ...couldn't remember me when he was making the order and called me by my order number like herded cattle. Now it's just a 5oz. The 4oz was great for my 9 year old and the 6oz was great for myself and my 12 year old. Anything like cheese or bacon was always an add on and the combo was an add on of about $3. It used to be about $35 for the three of us to eat. Today it was over $45. The burger is $7.10, plus $5,40 for the combo. It's not enough for one kid and too much for the other. They have increased their prices quite a bit, reduced their size and to be frank, the quality at this location has decreased. We're very disappointed. This used to be a treat when we came into Kitchener. Now it's a luxury.

My father and I attended the Galt View today for an early supper. This was the first I've been there since the changeover. It's a big restaurant and they have good food. Today we both had the banquet burger, and it was quite good. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was the best, but it was good. The menu is small, but it offers all the standard comfort food you'd expect from such a place. There were only two other parties dinning in the 40-plus table establishment, and as a result our server was attentive and the food was served quickly. I wonder how that might change if it were busy. I will say that our server was very cheerful and pleasant, which made it a nice experience. Then there was the mystery of the empty bowl. On our table was placed a small, white, ceramic bowl. It was the same as the bowl used to hold the sugar packets for coffee or tea, but this one was empty. I looked around and there was a small, white, empty bowl on every table. I was perplexed. I commented to my father that maybe it was a tip jar. He joked saying that it was empty, so maybe we should go elsewhere. As the meal wore on, I became increasingly worried about the meaning behind this empty bowl. Why was it there? Why a white bowl? Why not green, or brown, or whatever other colour is fashionable for bowls these days? What were we meant to do with it? Did it have a deeper existential meaning? Was it the owners symbolic commentary on the nature of the universe? A view thus imposed on the unsuspecting diner, most of whom would just think; "hey, an empty bowl." My head was spinning. I began to wonder if I was losing my mind. Imagine that, being brought to the brink of sanity (or is that insanity) by the presence of a small, empty, white, ceramic bowl. I again commented on the situation and my father insisted that it was there to hold creamers for those cups of coffee and tee, for which the sugar waited. I was dubious...it didn't make any sense. In the end, I declined to ask the waitress why there was an empty bowl on every table. I figured that the mystery had taken me places I hadn't dreamed possible, and whatever her answer, a mind cannot be un-blown, once it is blown. We gave her a good tip.

Ever time I've been there (drive through) I find, no matter who is serving me, they are the most polite individuals and wonderfully friendly. I think I keep going back because I feel so good when I've left. Like the day is better...I leave with a smile...rather than not being effected, like I do most places. I once commented to the manager/owner (not sure which) how wonderful everyone was and his response was wonderfully simple "team work is important to us". I guess when you truly work as a team everyone is willing to pitch in and be happy. Silly to gush this much about service, but when you don't get good service very often, it's important to share it.
